Gastric bypass, migraines and you.
I have always gone the "natural" route, and it really worked pretty well for me.
When I "feel" that migraine thang coming on I will do several things:
~I drink something HOT with caffeine in it
~I take some feverfew, or another supplement that has feverfew, peppermint and ummmmm..trying to think of the other ingredient in it. I will look it up here in a moment.
If those two things don't work I would take some ibuprofen, which obviously I shouldn't take now. THANKFULLY...I have NO idea why, I have only had 2 times I felt migraines coming on since I had surgery in July so I have been able to head them off. I have popped some Tylenol when it was nagging at me and with the above things I have kept it from turning into a full blown dealie.
Before my surgery, this year I was having migraines 5-8 times a month.
HALLLOOOO I am glad that is over.
Feel better!
Blessings!

My wife has had migranes before and after wls. The only thing that works for her is injectable toradol. Dont know what it is or how it works. But it does work for her and she has tried it all. Not even pill form of toradol woks as good as the injections. Only draw back is she cant give them to herself......Too chicken so I get that job.

I used to get migraines, until my neurologist began Botox injections in my forehead, neck, and top of shoulders every 3 months. See if your insurance covers it or have your Neurologist's office people call. My insurance covers mine.
And, no they are not painful injections, the whole thing takes approx. 3 minutes. I haven't had even a regular headache since he started doing this last March!!
Feel better,
Holly
