Hi all, I was reading another post on a different message board and the person mentioned Suddenly Slender Body Wraps as a good thing to do while you are losing weight. I went to their website and supposedly the body wraps somehow compact your fat so you lose inches. They also do facial wraps and breast wraps specifically designed to sculpt those areas. Has anyone tried it? How much did it cost? Is it worth it or yet another scam to separate overweight people from their money? Thanks!

I had one for a birthday present from my hubby before wls, I lost 21 inches over all. that may sound great but then stop and think about it, it was a quarter inch form each upper arm, lower arm, upper thigh, lower thigh, neck, chest, mid-drift, waist, hips. oh! forgot wrist. get the picture, and then it was only water that left and in a matter of 3 weeks its back. They wanted me to come in every 4 weeks for a treatment at the cost of $125 a pop. Don't waste your hard earn money. DQ

Well, I'll tell you my experience. I had one done. I paid $140.00 for it. I went in, stripped down just to my panties. The woman wrapped me from feet to the top of my head with ace bandages soaked in a special mineral water. She wrapped me VERY tightly. She put baggies on my feet and hands to catch all the "impurities" (i.e. the water running off the ace bandages). When she finished wrapping me, I went to step away from the wrapping area and the entire room went black. I was wrapped so tightly that I could barely breathe - my ribcage could not expand. But I got through that. She led me into a room with a stair stepper, a treadmill and some other exercise stations that I can't recall right now. I had to do these exercises while wrapped. OH YEA - THAT WAS INSANE. Every few minutes she soaked all my ace bandages in more special mineral water that would pull the impurities from my skin. I got fed up with trying to exercise in that darn room all wrapped up like a freezing mummy. So i walked around while she was busy wrapping another woman. In the kitchen, I found jugs of water all lined up. None of them were sealed. They were milk jugs with faded labels. I walked outside the kitchen area and "mingled" in the lobby. I saw her go into the kitchen and get a jug of that very water to use on the other lady. I mingled some more - acted like I was reading all about the products that they sold. I saw her take that same empty jug and fill it in the kitchen sink. THERE the source of the 'special mineral water that pulls the impurities from your body' !! It was a crock. A scam. She had measured me prior to the wrap. She measured very loosely. She measured me afterwards, pulling the tape very tightly. DER!! Of course the measurements were lower. No difference in my clothes whatsoever. Oh yea, and when she unwrapped me, she showed me how cloudy the water was that she squeezed from the ace bandages- those were the impurities pulled from my body. YEA RIGHT! It was dirty ace bandages. I also noted that there were no washers or dryers in the place. I would not trust it. It's a very expensive scam. I was so ticked at myself for falling for it - and I did not go alone - I went with two friends who were equally ticked off. I would say to take that money to a nice, reputable spa and get a massage - maybe a seaweed or mud body wrap - but never would i recommend the body wrap in ace bandages - or whatever fancy name they decide to call them. Just my two cents! Pam
