Topic: RE: Help Rosie in NJ
Hi - welcome to ObesityHelp. If you've not done so already, I'd suggest posting this to the state boards near you (NJ, NY, Conn., etc.) and also to the main messageboard so that others may respond.
Best of luck to you AND to Rosie!
Topic: Help Rosie in NJ
I pulled Rosie out of a HORRIBLE shelter.
She is approx 1 year old. She is a shepard mix. Probably Shepard/Huskie.
She LOVES people and I taught her "sit" and "wait" and "down" in just two days!
She does not do well with other dogs. Not that she is aggressive, just that she doesn't know how to back down from playing and that causes the other dog to get aggressive.
So she'd do best in a home with no other dogs.
She cannot live with me as we have another dog.
She is living in a crate in my basement and desperatly needs a home.
She is 100% housebroken and loves her crate.
She walks VERY well on leash.
We are in New Jersey.
If someone can help, please E-mail me at: [email protected]

Topic: RE: i'm lookin to adopt a eng. bulldog!
Hi Jean,
I was very excited to read your email. I actually have not found a bulldog as of yet. We moved to the Dothan, AL area at the end of last year and because of the move and trying to adjust to this new town, I have kind of put looking for a dog on the back burner. I am very interested in your babies. I would love to get more information from you about your ladies! My email address is [email protected]. It is late here so I didn't want to call you. If you are sure it is o.k. I will try and contact you this week.
Thank you so much for responding!!!

Topic: Ontario - Looking for new home for 5 year old beagle
My 5 year old beagle is overly protective of me and it has become a problem between my boyfriend and I. The dog recently bit the boyfriend and no I have to face either putting him down or finding a new home for him.
He is 5 years old. Neutered and microchipped. He has mild asthma, but no medical treatment is required. As with most beagles, he could afford to lose a few pounds. He would thrive well in a single-dog home, with lots of adult interaction. He loves to cuddle and would make a great companion for a senior who is home alone during the day.
He has been a grea****ch dog and protector.... unfortunately I really don't need as much protecting these days. The dog came before the boyfriend and it makes it difficult to face the possibility that he may have to be put down. I have to decide what I am going to do, by June 5th.
I live near Toronto. If you could offer Max a home. Please email.

Topic: Anyone from Kentucky
Hi, I live in Eastern KY and need help with dogs. I currently am caring for 20 dogs and am overcrowded. I cannot care for all these dogs and they have destroyed my home. They are proving impossible to housebreak and my home stinks. All are dogs that I have rescued or had dropped off. People will drop off dogs all the time and expect me to take care of them. I have refused to take in any more even though it breaks my heart. I have already gotten in over my head.
Is there any product that will work on old, set in, accidents. I have talked to many vets and they all say that after all this time it will be impossible to get the scent markers out of everything and that the dogs will just keep going to those places. The only solution seems to be to build kennels and get them out of my home but I don't have the money for that. I am disabled and it is killing me trying to keep up with all these animals.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Topic: Sheltie needing placement asap.....
My husband and I have been fostering a beautiful female Sheltie that we now need to find placement for asap due to a death in the family, and the possibility of my mom moving in with us and bringing her dog.
She is a very sweet girl....about 4-5 years old, spayed, housebroken, obedience trained. She is very affectionate and LOVES to give kisses and snuggle, and LOVES to play fetch.
We love her to death and are heartbroken having to find a new home for her, but we already have 2 other dogs + 4 cats, and my mom is most likely going to be staying with us and would be bringing her dog, which is simply too many animals in our house.
We live in Cleveland, and would like to see her go to a home locally however willing to adopt out of state if we feel its the right home. I do have pictures I can send if interested, just drop me an email. Her name is Chelsea, and she is also current on all shots and heartworm negative.
