Topic: RE: Newbie alert!!
Hi Erin! Sad to say, but this board NEVER moves along! I have 3 cats and 3 dogs. My best friend is a humane officer and I go on calls with her frequently. I have our first confiscated animal, an 18 year old neufie. I also have a 7 year old great dane and a new one... a 6 month old yellow lab/corgi mix! He's so cute! Well if you ever want to talk about the "kids", I'm here. No one seems to reply here on this board.

Topic: Newbie alert!!
Hi, I am Erin from Edmonton, Alberta (Canada). I have 2 dogs; a Bernese Mountain Dog (Sully) and a Yellow Lab (Ozzie) One was from a rescue society (lab) and the Berner was given to us by my sister who bought him as a guard dog, only to realize that he is afraid of his own shadow.
We also have 4 cats, 2 from the SPCA, one I found at my work last week and one from my sister.
Phew!! Yes, my house is a zoo and I would not have it any other way!!
Nice to meet you all!!

Topic: RE: Looking to adopt
Krista, I have several that would be great for you, but I live in Louisiana. What I can tell you hun, is check with Petsmart in your area & see if they allow local rescue organizations to go into their store & adopt out animals. I am involved w/a group down here that does this.
Topic: NEWBIE w/ INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone,
I just stumbled across this animal rescue board and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sue G and I live in Byram, MS. I am scheduled for Lap RNY on 7-6-05. I work with CARA (Community Animal Rescue & Adoption) the largest "No-Kill" shelter in Mississippi.
We have recently brought together our whole state in a coalition for spay / neuter which we are very proud of. It will be called MS SPAN (Miss. Spay & Neuter) providing low cost spay / neuter to those in need.
Our state is currently way behind other states in that area and unfortunately way ahead in our euthanasia rates. So we are very excited about getting all this together. Our paperwork has been submitted for our 501c(3) status and we are beginning to rock & roll.

Topic: RE: Andrews Rescue and Foster Care in TX
Hi Lisa!
It is a good thing you do for this puppies.I go to the shelter here and walk and brush the dogs and cats and help out. I wish i could foster animals but i live to close to my parents and they do not want them in their back yard.I love amimals and would have a house full if i could.I have three cats now and they drive my parents crazy. Two of them i raised on a bottle the other one i took in because the people that owned him had him declawed and then did not want him and turned him out to find for hemself.

Topic: Andrews Rescue and Foster Care in TX
Hi y'all!
We are now incorporated and working towards our 501c3 status! Right now we have 4 foster puppies (1 is already set for her forever home) and the other 3 are getting ready to rock and roll! Please check us out on www.petfinder.com or www.geocities.com/mslisabell so you can see these beautiful furbabies!
I'm also looking for people to help foster with us so we can save more dogs! Please email me if you can participate!
Thanks!
Lisa

Topic: CT Greyhounds
Hey everyone!
For those in CT I'm sure you've heard about the greyhounds losing their homes at Plainfield Greyhound Park. While we've put a dent in them there are still many that need homes. PLEASE check out my family's website ctgreyhounds.org. If you might be interested in adopting a hound, please fill out the adoption form and send it in. OR call us with any questions that you might have for us. These are lovely, sweet, quiet, ( yes quiet ) dogs that want nothing more than to steal your heart. OK, and maybe your pillow!!
Thanks so much !
