New to the Arkansas board....
Hi Neicie, I have an aunt that I grew up calling Aunt Neicie (her real name is Denise, but I guess I couldn't pronounce that as a kid). I live in central Arkansas, and I had Open RNY done Aug 15th. Who did your surgery and what hospital did you go to? Dr. Baker in Little Rock performed my surgery and I had it done at Baptist. I couldn't be happier with my surgeon or surgery!!
My first 3 weeks I slipped into a deep depression and had the "buyers remorse" you know like what did I do, why did I do this to myself, will it be worth it? Well I can say now that YES it was worth it. I started at 400lbs, lost 30lbs before surgery on liquid diet and now weigh 294 lbs as of yesterday.
I look forward to hearing more about you on the board and welcome to Obesityhelp.com :)

Thank you to everyone *****plied. Sorry it took so long to reply back My surgeon is Dr. Josh Roller here in Springdale. He has been here since July and I was the 4th RN-Y since he has been here. He came from Duke University where he has done over 200 surgeries. I had surgery at Northwest Medical Center here in Springdale.
I have not been depressed, but have been very emotional. I cried over the CMA's on TV and felt so silly afterwards. Then I was walking out of K-Marts and started crying for no reason. I did not feel sad...I actually felt happy but cried anyways....that really freaked my hubby out...he asked me not to do mood flops like that....I told him I wish I could help it but did not even know it was coming on.
Dr. Roller and his staff are awesome...and so very supportive. I am very greatful to them for giving me a 2nd chance at living a healthier life...
Best of luck to everyone,
Neicie

If there's anything you need, jump on in and ask. If we haven't been there or done it ourselves, we can usually figure out where to go to get your questions answered.
