I am new to this site, but, glad to see people owned by birds! I have a 3yr old umberlla ****atoo and a 20 yr old mullacan ****atoo. The umbrella is my baby. Very sweet and charming. He thinks he is human but does not talk. My mullacan was rescued. He is not as loveable. Although I can not hold him, he will let me give him a good scratch. Hi Lesie; I am a fellow ****atoo adorer. I have a 16 year old rose breasted ****atoo. The birds you share your home with are truly my favorites, but unfortunately I learned that I dont have a schedule that could accomodate living with a mollucan. To have a Mollucan ****atoo would be to have my dream bird. They are so sweet and loveable...and BIG. I just do not have the room for a cage that would be needed for a bird of that size---and in all fairness to the bird, I don't have the time that would need to be dedicated to it. Maybe someday I will be in the position to take one in.
