I soooo want a naval orange but can we eat citrus fruit? I haven't really tried too much fruit due to what my dr's diet allows but I love fruit. So what fruit do you eat? I realize that our pouches are finicky and what works for one might not work for someone else but what about that orange?

I eat oranges and dont have any problems.  I would say try one of those itty-bitty oranges and see how you feel.  Mostly thats that I'll eat, or half a reg sized orange.

I've eaten every fruit under the sun and I haven't had any problems. I'd suggest starting small and seeing how your pouch tolerates the sugars.

Thanks. I'm almost a year out but my surgeon doesn't believe in fruit until you reach your goal weight. I just have a taste for an orange.

Don't know about RNY but I keep citrus to a minimum.  Haven't had a orange since surgery.  I'm afraid of the texture and acid.

Yes I eat them all the time....I live to eat my oranges on a daily basis.  Don't eat too many though and make sure you peel it right you should be fine.

I couldn't eat oranges for a couple of years.... just try it slowly and see how it goes.... even now, I can't eat them-eat them, just like maybe a little at a time.... Apples, nectarines, peaches, strawberries, pineapples don't give me trouble, but I think the texture of the orange gives me the blues, because they used to physically hurt to eat them.... just go slow and see what happens....
