That's just not right! From the outside looking in (not knowing your company) it would seem that it was done on purpose because I'm sure when they were planning the darn training they had to pull out a calendar to check the dates!

I am working both days too. The partt that really sucks is I work with opinionated asshole Jewish Dr and I so am not looking forward to hearing his crap the next couple of days.

Well i will just be going back to work tommorow from the Christmas holidays. Thats right, i had 4 1/2 weeks off for Christmas

& they decided for us to come back on the Kings Day. Aint that messed up.

And they told us we must report back on the 19th if not, we could be terminated! I don't know bout nobody else, but i will be the first thang there in the morning cause i need my job

(hope i don't over sleep) I guess i will just spend some extra time in the bathroom with my cellphone (Sprint tv) in honor of the Kings Day

I'm the only black at my job too, although we're pretty small. I always take MLK day off, and on Thursday, I told him I was taking Tuesday too, so I could go to my SIL's brunch and watch the inauguration festivities. At first her was a little pissed that I wanted to take the day off, but when he looked at my face, he knew I was serious. LOL.

so, I have both Mon and Tuesday off. I'm glad that I've established a pattern of taking this day off, so there was no drama. Of course, I worked late of Friday to make sure those mofo's don't mess nothing up while I'm out!
