GOOD MORNING ALL I HAD A APPT. WITH MY NUT ON 2-11 AND SHE TOLD ME TO LOSE WEIGHT AND NOT JUST 2 OR 3 POUNDS BUT SHE NEVER SAID HOW MUCH SO I SAID I'LL TRY AND LOSE 12 POUNDS THAT WAY I'LL STILL BE ABLE TO HAVE THE SURGERY BY 3-24. YESTERDAY I STOOD ON THE SCALE AND LOST ABOUT 10 POUNDS NOW I WANT TO DO A COLON CLEANSE TO LOSE ABOUT ANOTHER 2 OR 3 MORE POUNDS.  DO ANY OF YOU KNOW A GOOD LIQUID ONE?

"personally" I say leave the fads and quick tricks alone.  Get yourself in gear by starting to adopt some ot the lifestyle changes you will have to make after surgery.  If you keep your fats and carbs in check, fill up on protein and fiber drink plenty of water and exercise you can easily loose those 2-3 in about a week.  You've lost 10 in 2, why not just continue what you're doing?

THANKS SO MUCH FOR RESPONDING. I KNOW I SHOULD BUT I JUST DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO STOP ME FROM BEING ON THAT TABLE THE MORNING OR AFTERNOON OF MARCH 24TH.  I HAVE STARTED EATING BETTER AND IT'S NOT AS HARD AS I THOUGHT.

Good Morning to you that sounds like good news. I have wanted to do a cleanse too. My acupuncturist said she knows some good people who do it with a machine and that its relaxing. I will ask who and whats the cost. I will also ask my friend who does them every week what he uses. Good luck and I will chat with you later. Have a great weekend..

Magnesium citrate is used by people for constipation. It is pretty mild.  Fleet Phosphosoda is the pre-op cleanser I had to use.  It is nasty stuff!  I was up all night prior to my surgery....couldn't get more than a few feet from the bathroom.  Both are liquid and are found in your local drug store.  Your weight loss sounds just fine.  I doubt your NUT is looking for you to lose a ridiculous amount.  Good luck with your upcoming surgery!
