Anything worth collecting anymore
Ayy Yo...
Now that R&B music has become Neo-Soul and Neo-Soul is starting to sound like Same Old - Same Old; and Hip-Hop music ain't what it used to be when it started out, I'm finding myself at a lost for things to collect. I mean used to collect pre-recorded cassette tapes before CDs came out and then I began collecting CDs when the tapes died away. Now CDs are going the way of the dinosaur and MP3s are all the rage. I hate MP3s by the way.
My question to you BAF: Is there anything left worth collecting anymore? Anything like snow globes, shot glasses, swizzle sticks? Anything?
What do you collect? Why?

I started a coaster collection a few years ago. Whenever I travel or friends travel and want to bring back a souvenir, I tell them to get me coasters. This way I don't end up with random key chains, t-shirts and crap that I'll end up throwing away when I get tired of looking at it.
I also heard on one of those design shows that it's better to stick to a theme when collecting because it looks better on display and not hodge podge.
Oh yeah and I also have a collection of $2.00 bills, dollar coins and State quarters.
Wow I didn't realize I was such a pack rat

Good morning to you too, Hugga76.
I hear ya on the coaster thing. As long as you do stick to one theme then you don't look like a pack rat.
Everytime someone goes somewhere they bring me back a t-shirt. When I was heavier the t-shirts would never fit. I'm talking male-titties and fat rolls everywhere.
Now that I can fit the t-shirts they are so out of style until I'm just like why bother? It just ends up as a rag to wash my car with anyway.

I've been wanting to start a collection for a while. My mom collects angels. My aunt, bells. My cousin, shot glasses. My dad, ball caps. I plan to start my collection of candlesticks later this year. Namely crystal & porcelain. Not candles, but candlesticks. Like these.
Interesting topic, Double Ayy!

Thanks for the luv, Double_Oh_Sexy!
I remember when people would go on vacations and collect things like shot glasses, for instance, then their friends and family would go on trips and bring back a shot glass or two so that they could be added to the collection.
Nowadays it seems we are way to busy to do simple enjoyable things like that.
