COMPLICATIONS

Miz D! gurl thanx! the GOD i serve is a WONDERFUL GOD \o/ ! I bind enimies everyday.  AND we talk very often on a daily basis throughout the day, so i know i am in the right hands.  My faith lies in HIM, NOT man!

Everybody is right. Your friend is down bad for bringing that to you right before your surgery. But you are woman, and woman is strong and makes her own decisions. People don't think when it comes to WLS. It is a needed procedure for those of us who have struggled with our weight for years. If a person has a bad heart your don't tell them that someone you know is dying from triple bypass, so when you have or are at risk of having health conditions the last thing a person that is close to 300 or 400 or even 500 lbs wants to hear is that they are making the wrong decision. So with that said I was sleeved on 03/12 and glory be to god that I have not had any complications. You are in good hands and you will be home on 03/25/09 and your new life will begin. God Bless.

Thanx soooo much MSTANYA!!! i have done just that....surrounded myself with my BAF family! and that has made me so much stronger and positive that i can do this.

my advice to WLS patients on how to deal with certain family & friends: TELL THEM BAMMAS TO FALL BACK.

the decision to have wls is a personal one. since most people won't understand your decision, i say stop trying to explain it. since most people either directly or indirectly discourage instead of encouraging, i say tell them to keep all that BS to themselves.

ok, its a fact that a certain percentage (very small) of wls patients don't do to well.  why these fools gotta obsess over that?  hell, a certain percentage of planes fall out the sky....should i never fly again? an even bigger percentage of cars crash on the way to their destination but you don't see fools trading in that SUV for a B I K E.  

tell them bammas to fall back.

Think positive thoughts...surgery day is like your wedding day its all about you. Fugg that!

I think people don't really know what to say when it comes to WLS.  As with anything in life, you only hear the horror stories and that is what is repeated.  Her timing stinks but I don't think she is hating on you.
