So I was on another forum (not OH) and the topic are fat people less attractive to date came up. So I went in like a nut glutton for punishment and you would not believe the crap I read fore example here is what one man posted below

Fat for the most part is unattractive. There are some guys that have fetishes for bigger women...to each their own I guess. I don't understand it personally. I've seen a FEW bigger women that look good but personally it's not my thing.

and another person wrote this...

Some fat women feel they appeal to guys that work out because they attracted JoJo who just got out of prison doing a 3 year bid, with his prison physique, he has no job and no where to live, so of course he's going for the easiest meal, a fat chick.

She's gassed off of this so she think the average working dude getting his work out on is attracted to her, which is further from the truth

you would not believe all of the similar comments that people were making that big women settle for anything because they have to yada yada yada...this is coming from our own race.
What kind of world are we living in that people are so ignorant and small minded

Girl to me its all about preferences at least the first comment anf the 2nd is ignorant.

Unfortunately this is how so many folks (men) feel about we voluptuous women. It is ignorance, and it is limited thinking as well. I have lived abroad and trust me when I tell you that in some cultures, a skinny girl stands no chance up against somebody with some hips, butt , breasts, and legs. SHe can't even get a husband. They will say she is too thin to even bare children and not good in bed because she got no cushion. So this is also a cultural thing, that many of "us" have bought into due to TV commercials, music videos, and other subliminal conditioning techniques. SOme of those same guys who are putting down "fat" woman, have mamas who are fat. So what are they saying?!

this is the world we live in. This is the society in which we all had a hand in creating. I think everyone should strive to be healthy, that is my main goal for myself right now. But to be ignorant is a completely different story

yes i agree that it is about preference but its the ignorance I have a problem with

 First of all fat is a relative term.  What one call fat another might call thick or fine.  With that being said, I feel that very few men like rail thin women.  I think that most men want a women with hips, breast, and thighs.  Not saying that these have to be out of shape, but still they want something to hold on too. 

If you look at women that model for men (in general) are a lot thicker than models and television actresses. You find that Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez are considered big in television land, but men find them very attractive.

These men did not consider Beyonce or Jennifer lopez fat. (rightfully so that would have completely sent me over the edge) but one of the comments was what would you rather have on your arm Beyonce or Mo'nique. Why would anyone choose a fat woman over a smaller one? I kid you not this was one of the comments I read.

Seriously,  I know quite a few guys who like women who are not your "average" size woman.  I am sorry they got my sistahs nerves worked up in the middle of the night.

Thanks Faith I needed some of your nerve pills last night. I was fine reading the nonsense but I was also on the phone with my friend at the same time and what really got my blood pressure up is that she agreed with the statements. She was telling me that I always feel like I have to stick up for all of the big people in the world and that is not the case but when I see people saying or doing ignorant things about bigger people (especially bigger women) I do take offense to it. I always have always will. This is because there are too many bigger women and men out there believing this bull. We have too many of our brothers and sisters who look in the mirror who think they are ugly and unworthy because of their size. Yes I take issue with that. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.  And to think that one of my close friends believes in this ignorant statement got my blood pressure sky high. I had to go to bed before I had a cornary. Yes Faith I will stay away from that site.

Hey - those are valid statements - for THOSE folk.  I know quite a few dogs that roll like that.  Fat chicks are easy prey to some - especially if it's a fine guy - they put up with ANYTHING to keep em. 

Hell - I got friends that I watched be treated like straight up doo-doo when they were fat.  Now they are not any longer and I don't even recognize who they are when they talk about their relationships - they have changed that much - don't take not ounce ONE of **** these days......
