OT: The Last ER
So, am I the only one who's planning to tune into the last episode of ER? If you're a fan, who was your favorite character... and what was your favorite storyline?
As for me, I didn'****ch in the early days, but my favorite main characters have been Dr. Mark Green, nurse/Dr. Abby Lockhart, Dr. Jing-Mei Chen, Dr. Neela Rasgotra, Dr. Kerry Weaver, Dr. Peter Benton, and Dr. John Carter (of course!). Oh heck, I loved all of 'em!
Of all the countless story lines, I've enjoyed many, many, many and it's hard to pick just one favorite! But my favorite by far was the one about Kerry & her partner, and their child. I thought NBC and the writers & producers took a huge leap in writing so poignantly about a lesbian relationship and how traumatic the death of a partner can be, esp. when the surviving partner is not protected legally.
Pass the tissues... I feel a good cry coming on with this episode.

I know I'll need the tissues too!

Hi 2legit and welcome to BAF!
I'm not sure what you mean. Are you seeing these astericks (****) in place of words? If so, I think your OH settings may be set to not show words that may be profanity (adult content)
You can set that to off in your settings. I hope that's what you mean.
Sometimes words that really aren't curse words get mistaken as such and the system sees it that way and replaces the word with the astericks.

Good morning, Ladies...
I was able to catch the final showing of ER and I gotta say it was a bit of a dud in my opinion,(I know, I know...

but that's the thing with TV series finales, they aren't supposed to break any new ground, nor are they supposed to keep you rivetted to the TV like they would normally do. For me it was good to see how much the various characters progressed on the show though. Now I gotta get a new "Thursday night at 10pm" replacement show/fix for next fall - and it won't be that Jay Leno B-S that they are pitching already. with ER though. Thursdays at 10pm you knew what was up. Now it's on to something else.

Someone just said the same thing...that the finale wasn't all that. I guess you have a point because if it was rivetting and all, people would be even more pissed about it being the last show.
I guess I'm just curious to see the character progressions too...the reminiscing will be a tear jerker for me.

Now I gotta find a dayum replacement show for Thursday nights. The problem with that is once you start liking a new show, at least in my past experiences anyway, they cancel it due to "critically acclaimed/poor ratings" syndrome or they run it into the friggin ground by changing the dayum time it normally comes on so much until no one watches it anymore. They never did that with ER though. Thursdays at 10pm you knew what was up. Now it's on to something else.
