I had my surgery on the 17th of March, so I am like 18 days post op,  well I am not nauseated as my doctor said I probably would be, I havent vomited, I have regular BM's, sorry if thats tmi. but I feel normal as if I haven't even had surgery.  I am not in any pain and I exercise daily at least for 30 minutes. I don't know what's going on and today I ate an entire egg.  I am wondering if any one else experienced this.  Also, I am taking my vitamins, but struggle to get in all of my liquids and protein.  I do better with the protein than my liquids.  I am just curious, Is this normal? and what about eating the entire egg?  Is it possible I have stretched my pouch?  This might sound silly, but I wasn't expecting this.

Everything you wrote could just be normal for you.  Everyones experience is just a little different.  Just keep trying to do your best.  Each week your routine will get a little easier. I was able to eat a whole scrambled egg at about three weeks out.

Thank you for responding to my dilema, your words are encouraging, It's so nice to be able to talk to someone  who is going or has gone through what you are experiencing.  Thanks again!

You had your surgery one day before me..... I've never been nauseated either.  I was prescribed meds but never had to take them.  My surgery twin has a bm everyday as well, while I've only had 2.   So everyone is different.  I can only eat about 3 oz or less, and have yet to try an egg.  I'm getting better on my protein intake and my fluids.  I couldn't tolerate the water well........ it just wouldn't go down...lol   So I started mixing the Crystal light with it, now I can drink it like a champ.  I'm still on soft/pureed foods so I mix protein with almost everything I eat (cream of wheat, cottage cheese, malt o meal, pudding).  I hope this helps.

Just wondering ... what kind of protein powder you  use.  Trying to get an idea of a good unflavored one.

I also never had the nausea or vomiting.  I had problems with my BM's while in the hospital but have never had any long term issues.  In the beginning, I could eat more than a lot of people except for certain dense foods like chicken breast.  Everyone's different.  I have NEVER had episodes where I have only eaten 3-4 bites and been full...like some on the board.  I lost my weight anyway.  Everyone's body is different.  As long as your body malabsorbs and provides some restriction, you will loose.   Your ahead of the game in the exercise department so keep up the good work.
