Give him a break...

He's officially old.    (speaking from the still under 35 crowd--taking my azz out of here before I get slapped.)

MM....Why do you think he feels this way? Do you think he's where he wants to be at this age?

I'm less than 2 years away from the 40 oz and I can't say I'm looking forward to saying I'm 40, but then again who cares? I feel 25 inside and that's what count.

At the same time, in less than 2 weeks, I will start to feel amazing day by day so when 40 comes along, I'll be happy as hell.  Hell, most of our Bruh's don't either see 40 alive, or see 40 as a free man.

hey juice!

Well - he's got some things going on - he's frustrated career wise, he was a mortgage broker in the sub prime market.... nuff said.  So that's crap.

BUT - things are STARTING to look up - however, he's mad as heyl about not being able to do what he wants to do when he wants to do it.

And he's got that whole mortality morbid thing going on - saying he's only got 20 years left to live..... he's been talking about plastic surgery on his face, joining a gym and getting contacts so he doesn't look old - homie is trippin!!!!  Seems like women feel like they get BETTER with time, but men feel like their candle has burned to the end......

For some of us it's something about leaving the 30's it means we're getting old in our heads. For me by 42 I was OK and 50 don't even faze me but that's me.

Mack,

I AM a bruh,, that just turned 40 in December--- and your man is RIGHT!!!

Its depressing as HELL. I dont know WHY all these sistas in here talking bout "life starts at 40-- and talking bout throwin a big bash---pulllllllease.

Its depressing,, he right, it IS all downhill now. Most of his life, is OVER. So is mine, and me and him realize it,,,, AND we can be real about it.

We aint where we thought we would be--in life. All of the aspects of your life, you realized that you have failed at. And keep in mind, Im employed(at the same place for 17 years) make a good salary(dont know how long its gonna last, but I got it NOW) have a wife, have 3 kids, have a mortgage, blah blah blah. But I have found myself in a funk now --prolly 3 months BEFORE I turned 40.

I know how the bruh feels.

And dont nobody want no old ass man,,, NOR woman. All these cliches about "this at 40" and "that at 40" is some bullshyt.

dont trip.

Que
