I don't have problem #1 with what you are asking - that's why the **** I answered - I added a well intentioned but obviously negatively impacting prologue that you are taking to an extreme that is NOT what I intended - I did not disrespect you - I call EVERYBODY DUDE at some point - as in the the misc person reference of 'dude, are you SERIOUS?' 'dude, did you just do that'? Not calling you a guy - I'm NOT ******G BLIND!!!!
IF you are on this board ANY length of time and have EVER read ANYthing I post - you would know my intentions here are NEVER anything but to be funny, informative and lighthearted - YOU on the other hand - seem to just want to continue to spin an INNOCENT misunderstanding into TRUE BULL**** -
have fun with that and the trip to the projects or whatever - you're sooooo on your own - DUDE!!!!!

I knew but just didn't KNOW you had all this in you!!

Hey chynnablaque,
Depending on your insurance makes the difference. Mine required I did 6 months of medically supervised doctor requirements. During the six months I was suppose to be doing the behavior modification. Start an excersise regimen. Stop drinking carbonated drinks, pop, and so on.... all the habits I picked up to get myself this big had to be proved I was changing. I wasn't req. to lose weight but I did have to stick to the goals they gave me for behavior modification. I had to have someone sign off 6 visits of proof that I went to the gym to excerise. It was easy one per month for six months. Naturally following all the req. I dropped 15lbs. this looked really good for my insurance because it proved that I was following my doctors appt. I started my doctor's visits in october, the month offdecember I put on 5lbs which looked really bad documented in my medical records. I knew I had to shape up, or I wouldn't look good when it came down to my final paperwork for insurance. The weightloss surgery clinic in my town is the ones I picked to do my 6months with. They told me that I need to stay at my orginal weight that I started at, or even get a few lbs. below. so I had to relose the 5 lbs and get serious if I wanted my approval from my insurance. I got in the right mind set after the holidays( that's what I blamed the weight gain from :) so to make a long story short I lost the 5 and even more because I'm really trying to get use to the way I will have to choose to eat after surgery(april 27th) I'm fine now without soda. I found I really love crystal light and the gatorade zero that is the new diet gatorade. I've been telling myself not to overeat and get big portions. drinking lots of water is filling me up. I use to eat big portions and still even go back for seconds. I did also get started on prozac for depression which I found out is an appetite suppresent. I should have got my mental help years ago cuz this prozac is really helping now to not want to overeat for emotional reasons. My weightloss surgery clinic sent out my papers and I was approved my first letter. I've been really lucky. things have gone smooth and fast so far. The six months took no time at all. I'm rambling on, so sorry. Just thought my info might help you. -take care, Crystal

Kaiser required us to lose 10% of our highest weight. They also required me to do a 6 month program and monthly weigh in with my PCP in addition to 6 months of Options classes. I took me a year to even get considered for the Options classes. I gained like 5 lbs after the options classes. My surgeon was just happy that I lost weight.
The smaller you are, the easier the surgery. It helps shrink your liver and that's the last thing you want nicked in surgery if it's going to be lap. Open, I'm not sure why. I had mines lap.
