NOTE: I am not discriminating against NEWBIES...I just know that you all are on a "doctor's" eating plan for the moment.

Hello BAFers! Well you know how we do, "I've gained weight!" "I'm so hungary (yes, hungary)!"

I will be a 6-year post-op in September and I want to share what I am doing to shed pounds and kill the hunger! I kid you not, I did not do it today and I am STARVING!

The KEY--FILL UP ON PROTEIN and LIQUIDS (non-calorie, non-carbonated)

My plan:

Wake up 15 minutes earlier....don't shower...just wash my hands and face....go downstairs...put me a cup of water and lemon wedge in the microwave...sit down...watch the weather and sip on the water (cleansing my body & meditating)....

Then I put on my coffee....put on sausage to boil or take out "peppered turkey" from Deli (thinly sliced---not shaved)

Go shower....put on make-up, get ready for work, etc.

Grab a bottle of water....I buy the 12 oz (I think) from Wal-mart for 2 dollas

Fix my coffee....get my meat....and some CHEESE....head to my car (this is bad, but I'm being honest)--the key is to put some protein in your body within 2 hours or waking up (boost your metabolism)

YES, I eat in the car---protein (you can have eggs too)

I drink coffee until 10:00 am....to get in my fiber....I eat 1/2 a packet of instant oatmeal at 10:15....then the liquids start.

Trust me, I love the Hawaiin Punch Light from Walmart, but it does have 30 calories per serving...so I bring KOOL-AID to work....GREEN TEA....and they keep Splenda here.

I drink a gallon of Kool-aid (pink lemonade, blue raspberry lemonade, and Tropical Punch)--no calories

I eat soup for lunch---VEGETABLE SOUP --- but you need protein here! after lunch, I have 2 cups of HOT (can't do cold) GREEN TEA!

For a snack---I eat pepper jack cheese and peppered turkey

I make myself drink another bottle of plain water.

I tell you, I may not even eat a snack...the dayum liquids have me going a baffroom and FULL!

I cook supper as always, but only serve ONE CARB! You know we are infamous for potatoes and rolls ~roll eyes~

I eat from a big saucer (just being honest)....then I drink more Koolaid

Exercise---well, I take the stairs to my buiding---4 flights...but the elevator to my office--46th floor!

I walk after lunch---I work in a mall tower---to sightsee and windowshop

Leaving the building....I take the stairs to my car 4 flights up!

and I walk my dog!

I have lost ~drumroll~ 4 pounds!

Hell, at almost 6 years out...that's damn good LOL

you ain't neva lied - I have my own plan something like this - I used to only drink a protein shake in the mornings - that don't cut it no mo!!!!  LMAOOOO

Yes - the protein first motto is TRUE and absolute - every time I have veered away - I am proven WRONG!!!

Keep up the fight DeDee - it ain't no joke - but make a plan and work a plan cause

THAT'S HOW WE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!

Dee you and me gained the same amount, but if I were honest I would tell you that I gained 20 more than you but I don't feel like being honest.

That is great dedee, keep it up.
I am struggling over here too. I am scared to get on the scale because I have increase the weights that I am lifting so I know it is more muscle then just a weight gain, but I still need to lose too. The greater of two evils. I am not giving up my weights so I am doing more cardio and protein always.
