I appreciate folks honesty.  I just know myself well enough to know as a still fat/morbidly obese chick I can be overly sensitive.  Which is why I read the OP's question, said my piece and knowing this could get ugly I haven't read responses unless I received a notification that someone has responded to me.  My self esteem isn't good enough to not take the negative talk personally.

I think fat people hate  OTHER fat people more than skinny people do, LOL. I think it depends on how the person carry themselves. I don't think people should just disrespect someone just because they are obese, I have seen many very obese folks that dress well, keep a very clean house, and smell good. I have seen many people that is skinny in PUBLIC that had body odors.

I remember working at this tech company about 9 years ago and this black girl...yes she was a sista..LOL, she was slim and trim, had a nice body wore nice clothes even, and one day she came and replaced my computer and she bent down and her legs open and she almost knocked me out...it was SO embarrassing, how could she come to work stinking like that it was funk and she had a professional job to top it off...and was MARRIED and had kids to make matters worse.

I really hate when folks pick on obese people just to make themselves look superior or better, it takes a low person to do something like that. Just my 2 cents.

you're right... and I think some peeps took the post wrong. It's not about saying it to someone.  I was jsut being honest as a fellow fat person my thought and how I regulate myself.

And every sista on here has talked about a jacked up weave, style, etc of another sista or that chocolate sista with the blue contacts (sorry if there's anyone here - didn't say it to offend-  really).. You may have felt remorse for it after.  Of, skin tone - now, you wanna have a hot topic, there's one for sure (paperbag test).  you know you say it to yourself if you're mad at someone in that 1st split second: You ole blue-black so and so. Or, that high yella heffa.

I'm honest enough to admit my faults and wrongdoings.  But I do think Double Ay said what I was trying to say, only better. So I'm done.

I agree...no one deserves to be disrespected...unless they themselves cast the first stone.

The title of this post was how do you view obese people or other obese people...

1. I am "fat" people.

2. I do not like the condescending tone of this post AT ALL.

3. The terms fat, ugly, skinny, pretty, ugly, fine (you get the idea) are all RELATIVE terms. A person may be physically unattractive to some people, but that does not mean he or she is not attractive to someone.

4. I think if more people spent more time focused on their own flaws and insecurities, we wouldn't have time to be worried about how fat (or whatever the imperfection is) someone else is. (I'm sure the person knows and is doing whatever they can about it.)

5. MANY people on this very board began their weight loss journeys at well over 600 pounds, and for them, to lose 300 is a major accomplishment. Guess what though, the world will still tell them "you ain't shyt" because you still 300 pounds.... (catch my drift?)

6. Maybe the purpose of this post is... I don't know the purpose, but I hope it will cause people who either are overweight or were over weight, to look more inwardly than at what other people are doing. NONE of us are in any positions to negatively judge someone based on looks. Not one person on this board or in this world!!

The point that was missed by a lot of people was that I FELT BAD and admitted it AND checked myself.

I could have easily titled it How do you view project dwellers, how do you view buppies, how do you view men with Napolean complex.

I'm tired of defending myself. I know what my intent was.

I have an @$$h*le, therefore I have an opinion. or two... or forty.
