BAF HAS LOST IT....YET AGAIN!

Sigh.....While not always an active partcipant, I have been a member of BAF for several years.  I recall when some of the people who are now "vets" came with their newbie status and asked the very same questions.

My BL is filled to the brim (and I'm sure others can relate) with questions from newbies seeking advice because they don't feel comfortable bringing their questions to the frontline.

I remember a time when BAF was truly about support, forming friendships, sharing experiences and handing out advice in presentable fashion.

It would be so nice to get back to that, but that's just my wishful thinking because people will be people and it takes all types to make the world go around.

This board was put here for free use and designed to encourage....we should all be mindful of that fact.

and I recall many a blast on MY azz back when I first started - to me - it's no different now than back then.  so when was this flowery, special, all love moment? 

I also recall getting blasted as a newbie.  I posted about those Special K protein drinks and LaVerne set my azz straight on those.

Like so many have said in the past, when you put stuff out here, you have to be able to man up cause there is no telling what kind of response you may get.

But.....looking back on it.  That second posts' title ...with the MY QUESTION WASSSSSSSSSSSS just seemed to scream sarcasm as if it was meant to start something.

Exactly - we gotta spank the vets cause they won't lay down and take the newbie's whoopin - or we should be more 'grown' and realize that we provoked them so we are owed the ass whoopin?

Iownknow - the last ass whoopin handed to me was from my mama - so sarcasm will get sarcasm back, jump nasty - imma jump too.  why the hell *I* owe anybody being the 'bigger mofo and taking the ish?'

Just sayin.......... if they can di**** - they can take it.

Hey Name sake!  I hope all is well.  Seriously though, what's the deal with the Special K Protein drink?  I have one in my fridge that my mother gave me.  Just never felt like drinking it.  So is it not good for you or what?  Even at 3 years out?  Just wondering.

She basically told me that the amount of protein in them is not worth the # of calories they contain.  I'm not sure if they have changed any since then (this was over 2 years ago when they first started making them)
All I know is I took that as gospel and have not touched one since.  LOL

The dynamics of the board hadn't been the same in quite some time, unlike when I found BAF.  This is what I was referring to......my ailing vet brain is just taking a trip down memory lane of the "good ol' days."
