The  reason that doesn't happen is because  of exactly what is going on NOW.  There is  a pissy posting.... from that post instead of letting it die....(keep in mind that the post in question happened a couple days ago) from those ashes...numerous posts must grow....and grow....posts saying chill.....posts saying that the first post was wrong.....all in the name of keeping shiot going! Enuf already shiott.  Grown folks...numerous personalities...etc...etc....etc.

I am probably one of the ones considered a "vet" I rarely post, never have really been that active of a poster. I do lurk every now and then. This board is here for support and encouragement. I think too much emphasis is placed on what a "vet" should or should not be/do. The main thing to remember is that a "vet" is not your doctor/nutritionist. Your post-op diet should have been thoroughly discussed with your surgeon/nutritionist before your surgery. If your surgeon did not provide you with a diet or refer you to a nutritionist, you should have found a new doctor. I don't want to give people advice on what to eat, because guess what every surgeon is different. I was on clear liquids for 2 weeks, full liquids for the next 2 weeks and soft foods for the next 2 weeks. I work in a restaraunt and a lady ordered a salad and a lemonade and she proceeded to tell me that she had just had gastric bypass less than 2 weeks ago!  I wanted to tell her so bad not to sabotage herself but I didn't because I don't know her and I was not sure about what her response would be .I couldn't have a salad until I was almost 4 months out. Everybody's idea of support and encouragement is not and will not ever be the same. When you are on an open board like this one, you have to be prepared to take the "good" along with the "bad"(not saying anybody was good or bad). This is a free will board no one forces anybody to join or to stay that is a conscious decision that each of us must make for ourselves. We as "vets" can only tell you our experiences but just like our bodies everyone's experience will be different.  Anyway that's just my .02
