Why?

Why does a "Vet" get a pass when she admits that she ****** up after having not one, but two surgeries?

but

A newbie, who is still learning, gets ********ed?

********ed?!  Like in the ***** movies?

In that case I'd say it was an initiation of some sort.

Good question, Cookie.

I was kinda sorta wondering that myself.

You would think that a newbie would be cut some slack just because of the "newbie" status.  If anything, you would think VETS would get jumped on.  And I guess it does happen from time to time depending on the vet.

"When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer."   Plutach.  Not true, for there are always more worlds to conquer.

I'm not commenting on either situation specifically but will only say...we are like parents with our children--

Do as I say, not as I do.

and

We want better for you then we did ourselves.

We are talking about grown ass, rusty behind, adults.

Why the double standard?

Because you know in real life, it's always a double standard.  People continuously have expectations for others that they don't expect of themselves.  We as women are a prime example--more times than not, we want a man with a good job, making good money, educated, spiritual, physically fit, etc.

but we aren't necessarily taking care of ourselves completely on all fronts.  But we are quick to judge..

I'm not saying it's right but it's true.

Either way these situations are another argument for why I think mandatory pyschological counseling and better followup by doctors should be required for all new post-ops.  You can't expect someone to overnight cure addictions, change behaviors, gain some much-needed self-esteem simply because they had WLS.  We are the same people fat or not so fat.
