OT - I gotta know... Is it just me?

So true Amanda....I have had a few people hit me on the BL about something I have blogged and they have NEVER posted on BAF. That's what made me stop making my profile private.  I know how helpful some blogs are for me.

Me too Kim, I have gotten bl messages about how my blog helped someone and I have also gotten bl support when I was just going thru personal stuff that I blogged about. My profile has never been private and probably never will be.

I'm all for the silent support but at some point you need to acknowledge from "whence your help came."

If your profile is public, like mine and someone "friends" you then aren't they essentially acknowledging where the help came from?

No! 

They are lurkers.  Once they put some pics up and post a few comments then they have paid their debt to the OH/BAF society.

As time goes on, you'll find, like in other networks, that there are those you do correspond with on a more regular basis than others.  I don't there there is anything wrong with having multiple "friends" on networking sites; you never know who's expertise in a certain area may be useful to you. 

As with all sites, try not to take stuff too seriously.  Take out of it what you want / need and get rid of the rest.

Take it easy.

Me?!  Me?!  You want ME to try not to take this stuff too seriously, the clown prince teddy bear double pimp of BAF comedy?!  Nah Pimpin, you must have me mixed up with that other guy somewhere down the IP address in another section of the internet, cause I ain't him.  
The ones who I feel take this stuff too seriously are the ones, in my opinion, who post things on BAF and when I make a comment in my patented comedic way, get all super-sensitive and never post on my questions ever again or block me from their profiles - Y'ALL know you folks are. 

I guess my point here is I want the lurkers, the closet members, and the anonymous spouses and secret significant others to come out of hiding and get into the game.  If we are all here to support and share with one another then get to supporting and sharing!!! 

I do try to keep in touch with my OH friends.  Most times, someone will request you as a friend if your page is private to gain access.  I might need to do a little sprucing up myself!

Double Ayy....you the first to go....I can't take all that humor, making my stomach hurt, lol.
