You can't make this stuff up.........
and to think, I'm a part of a group who is pondering opening up a Franchise in St. Paul, MN. Still could, but dayum!!
Here's the Story, but you have to see the Video.
MINNEAPOLIS - Hundreds of customers were angry to find the Popeye’s on Lake Street in Minneapolis was not offering a national promotion.
For Earth Day, Popeye’s was offering eight fried chicken pieces for $4.99 -- a special well-advertised on TV in Minneapolis.
But homemade signs on the door at the Popeye’s on Lake Street said it wasn't honoring the nationally advertised special. Instead, they were offering nine pieces for $9.99
The line for Popeye's was out the door Wednesday afternoon and early evening. A half-dozen Minneapolis police officer showed up to settle the crowd down.
Customers said it's not the first time the franchise has refused to honor a nationally advertised special.
People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown
the line went out the door and around the block here. I was temped to get TWO boxes for my damned self. LOL.

Dude going in on a Popyes franchise in any city in MN is a smart move just make sure you honor the national promotions or you are gonna get the beat down:)
Change is a Process Not an Event
Hmph.

I had to come out of the woodwork for this one!!!! Now you know that is funny as hell to me! I love myself some Popeye's!!! After living in Minneapolis for 25 years and before my weight loss surgery I was over there every weekend. I could only imagine all the hype that was caused on Lake Street yesterday! And you know how we act! If I am not mistaken only One Popeye's in Minnesota! That is why the owners chose not to honor the advertisement...There is no competion...Thanks for sharing ...it made me miss Minneapolis...as weird as that sounds!!!

Too funny!
