Ayy yo,

Texas!  Home of to the Dallas Cowboys, home to the Houston Rockets, and home of the Duke and Duchess of Hazzard - George and Laura Bush.

Believe it or not, fellow BAF'ers, a couple of Texas politicians are now talking "dat noise" about how they are soooo scared that Pres. Obama is going to take away their specific rights to everything that is good and wholesome in America and basically run this country into the ground, until they are talking "succesion."  Can you believe it?  Seriously trying to succeed from the USA will bring about another US civil war to prevent it.

I'm curious.  What are your thoughts on this?

Um - that was an off-hand comment by Perry and it's not being taken seriously - a few Texans support that idea - just like a few mofos here (and in many other states) support bullshiot ideas as well.

Anyone with REAL brain capacity and politcal savvy knows it's smoke - now who's butt it gets blown up depends on who is dumb enough to listen.

and for the RECORD BIRDMAN - "W" was not BORN in Texas - he's a refugee - and as soon as we get our immigration straight - we shippin his arse BACK where he came from!!!!

"Um - that was an off-hand comment by Perry and it's not being taken seriously - a few Texans support that idea - "
(I"m not sure about that Mack!!!  I was just reading a poll last week that caused me to be "shocked" by the number of folks down there who that it was a good idea.")

Poll: Texas Republicans Approve Of Rick Perry's Secession Remarks

By Eric Kleefeld - April 23, 2009, 2:54PM

A new Daily Kos/Research 2000 poll finds that Rick Perry's suggestion at the Tea Party last week, that Texas might have to secede from the Union, actually has significant support from his home state's Republican voters.

One question: "Do you think Texas would be better off as an independent nation or as part of the United States of America?" The top-line number is United States 61%, independent nation 35%. Among Republicans, it's a dead-even tie at 48%-48%.

And then there's this one: "Do you approve or disapprove of Governor Rick Perry's suggestion that Texas may need to leave the United States?" The top-line is only 37% approval to 58% disapproval -- but among Texas Republicans, it's 51% approval to 44% disapproval.

President Chuck Norris (of the Texas Republic), here we come!

Um - that was an off-hand comment by Perry and it's not being taken seriously - a few Texans support that idea - just like a few mofos here (and in many other states) support bullshiot ideas as well.

Read the lil print at the bottom of your source

The Research 2000 Texas Poll was conducted from April 20 through April 22, 2009. A total of 600 likely voters who vote regularly in state elections were interviewed statewide by telephone.

I am not going to base my opinion off 600 dumb sonabiotches who happen to have a phone line.

I'm not a big fan of "polls" by no means Mack..................but even I was "shocked" at those numbers......................(even if the numbers were just "half" of what the polls suggested of the thinking of folks in Texas.)

Please - let's not get to looking at the rising Hispanic majority in Texas - just because you call 600 republicans does not a state opinion make.....
