Faith I TOTALLY AGREE...THE FROM THE BEGINNING OF TIME..MEN HAS ALWAYS BEEN CHASERS...if women today think differently they are FOOLING THEMSELVES....MEN ARE HUNTERS BY NATURE....nothing has changed since the caveman days...the GAME has only changed.

True.

Personally, I think the game all got changed once y'all women let us men know that:

1.  Women like sex just as much as we do or more.
2.  Women critique sex the way Siskel and Ebert used to critique movies.
3.  Women are willing to settle for a piece of man with the belief that, "A piece of man is better than no man..."

Hmm.... you says....".  Women are willing to settle for a piece of man with the belief that, "A piece of man is better than no man..."

Has it got that BAD out there , If I had to put up with a man and pay ALL the bills, let him cheat on me when HE pleases, direspect me, beat me, have many different baby mommas, have no job, and is half stepping in bed....then I think it's time for women to start looking at same sex marriage...coz a nicca an't ALL that

Nay-Nay,

You don't even know the half.

It's so bad that when a good man does come along, some sistas are left scratchin their heads goin' through the wrong check lists in their minds trying to figure out what to do with him:

He don't look/act like a thugg...  - He must be soft.
He don't dress all that nice... - He must be cheap.
He don't hit...  - I'll bet he ain't all that in bed.

They are so busy comparing this good man to all the bad men in their past lives (i.e. baggage****il they run him off trying to turn him into Tyrone, LeRoy, and all the other bad men that they once knew.

I agree with ALL of those...but #3........THAT should be #1...that is the reason all of us (meaning the good women out here) have to suffer.

If men could get it through their heads that not ALL of us are settlers...sheesh!

It's gotten to the point where those of us who don't settle are labeled 'high maintenance'.  This was another good point in Steve Harvey's book.

Thank you FAITH!! Thank you!!!  I think that is WHY I couldn't get into the book at all. I feel the same way about taking advice from others regarding my marriage who has NEVER been married OR has divorced.

I definitely would not take ANY of his advice.  However,  I would like the opportunity to read the first chapter of the emailed copy that I am expecting   so I can see what all the TALK is about.  I am really surprised that Oprah had him on her show knowing his track record with women/marriage.  If I was a talk show host I would feel like it would be bogus to have him as a guest.
