Hi Middle Man!!!! HOw are ya?????? I hope all is going well for you.
I am still eating mushy/pureed food....my docs team is very strict. I did clear liquids for 2 weeks following surgery and now I am on my 2nd week of mushies.....I don't do the baby food stuff though....yuck!

Whatever I cook for my children/family, I just put some in the food processor for myself....at least that way I know its seasoned and tastes like something!

I can do solid foods next week, just chew, chew, chew....

HOw are you doing with the weight loss so far?

Well, I am 7 wks out. I eat a lot of protein such as crab cakes which are baked, cheese, sliced pepperoni, I drink two protein shakes a day-23g each, I sneak in a sf oreo once a week, turkey bacon, veggie burgers, grilled chicken wings from KFC, they are pretty tasty. A whole wheat cracker if I need a carb. My biggest problem is water. I know I am not getting enough in.

My surgery was 4-17....the 1st two wks was broths and cream soups(made with skim) and now i'm on 2wks of full liquids and still the usual protein shakes made with Ocena Spray Cran-Energy blend, sf jello,  vanilla pudding, and popsicles....try the cream of chicken soup with half can of water and skim added to it..its delicious! Try about 4-6oz or less, depending on your pouch I guess....This past wkend I tried the pinto beans and cheese(pureed) from Taco Bell and it was really good...it stayed down and was very satisfying...although I must admit, I tried a piece of my moms grilled chicken from KFC and after 3 bites that was it! It came back up so fast it wasnt funny! It was definitely a reallity check for me and i'm kool!  Back to full and pureed for me!
Good Luck and stay focused Middle Man! I know its not as easy as we thought trust me, I know what you're going through...but each day gets a little better....especially when you get the positive comments from those close to you that can see your transformation! That will definitely keep you motivated to stay on the straight and narrow!

Start incorporating walking/exercise now so you can feel better mentally as well as physically!  Take care and stay positive its all for your overrall health!

Hey darlin!! I hope all is well!! Im about three months out, and im eating anything i want, as long as its chewed to damn near paste (lol) I cant eat fish (and thats killing me) Cant eat pork chops  (havent tried ham yet)  but i do alot of tv dinners, cause they are the right portion and they give me a lot protein, and they are mushy enough for me to get down. I do watch the sodium intake cause the doctor set me on a certain sodium intake cause of my high blood pressure, but they do good. Its like a blessing and a curse that i can eat anything, cause some stuff i dont need to be dippin into yet (lol) but you will figure it out. dont be afraid to try new things, i've had my fun conversations with the toliet trying new things but i tried, so i can see what i can eat!! Good luck!!
Preggers and STILL killin em in these streets baby!!!

The only things I don't eat is pasta, rice, bread, sweets fried foods and red meats.

I'm about 7 weeks out.  I eat a lot of soups, home-made and canned.  My Dr/Nut has cleared me to eat solids, but I stick to the soups because they are easy to make and sip @ work.  I've tried a turkey burger, pizza (egg-face blog), protein ice creams, chicken/tuna salad, sf fruit ****tail, cottage cheese, weight control oatmeal, egg whites, turkey meatloaf, turkey bacon, turkey sausage...all kinds of veggies.

Check out the egg-face blog, she has alot of GOOD recipes for every stage.

Hope this helps.
