NEWBIES 1-2 MONTHS OUT

Hey MM, I am eating salmon, tuna, shrimp, crab legs, (just the meat), chili, chicken, pork, turkey, pot roast and steak cooked for hours.  Starting now to be consistent with getting in a veggie either peas or broccoli, avocados..... My doctor gave me a list of foods to try.  He suggested to try a new food daily.  I have tried and kept down pasta however yesterday had dumping spell at work.  Not sure if it was due to the pork chop I had and the turkey that was mixed in the wheat pasta.  After speaking with a friend over the weekend, I have when back to drinking a protein drink in the morning.

I'm 5 weeks out and I have eaten red meat, pork, chicken and decided today that I am going back to softer foods because I eat too fast and I pay for it. So I'm going to do beans, oatmeal, pureed chili, cheese sticks, soups and pureed seafood and although I hate protein shakes (I've just about tried them all) I am going to drink those also.

Hi Middleman,

I am 5 weeks out and I am eating mushy foods most of the time. I am allergic to seafood so its been mostly chicken and veggie burgers. I am eating mashed potatoes and baby foods (veggies and fruits). No bread, No sweets and No skin on my chicken PERIOD! I tried the KFC grilled chicken but that didnt go down well at all even the breast and the wings had too much fat on them for my taste. Oh I also discovered a love for peanut butter...cant eat too much at one time. Anywho hope all is well on your end!

Man!  I'm still having trouble with meat so I'm eating beans for protein.  I drink two protein shakes a day and I'm eating a lot of watermelon.  Tonight I'm gonna make some turkey chili in the crockpot.  I hope it goes down and stays down. 

I'm gonna try a Morning Star breakfast patty and an egg to see how that goes. Wish me luck! LOL

And oh yeah - water.  I bought a giant bag of Splenda and two big bottles of lemon juice so I'm drinking about 28oz of lemonade each day.
