Why are men more secure with their bodies than women?

After the whole post xes post - I got to thinking - why are men less ashamed of their bodies?

I ain't seen NARY post from the BAF bruhs about them unrolling the fury out on a chick and being worried what she will think......

Is it because of the objectification of the female form in mass and popular media?

Is it a societal construct?

Or is it just that men are hard wired not to give a hot shiot as long as they can get a poke in?

Cuz as long as it's not the shortest in 7th grade gym class they know they aight!

I suppose you DO have a point though - men are conditioned that the only thing that counts is the size of the stick - not the cabinet it's attached to!

I believe all three of your comments play a major role in our society.  If I had to choose, I would say # 3.  Men do have issues and now that women are calling them out to change as well, more men are going to the gym

On an Oprah Show not to long ago, they mentioned Women like to be DESIRED.  So, in the process of begin desired it requires us to be a certain way ... act a certain way ... look a certain way

And part of having good sex  for women ( at least for me) is wanting a man to desire her.

Because after all .... Men are physical.

Once again it's the woman's fault.

We, men, have told you ladies for years (decades) that we don't care how you look as long as you keep your face pretty and your hair done when we go in public.  But nooooooooo...  Y'all can't listen us, cause y'all want to get any man y'all want and you know another woman is your toughest competitor in that arena.  So out come all of the beauty tips, secrets, hints, cures, removals, enhancers, magazines, workout tapes,  etc... that a shrewd businessman can invest wisely in and y'all still don't feel that much more comfortable with your own bodies as a result. 

Here's a hint: Learn to love yourselves first!  ****  We did.
