Morning Yall

I did my run this morning and I felt so much less stressed and I feel like I can see some light at the end of this tunnel.  I am beyond proud that I was able to run twice everyday even though I felt so overwhelmed most days I just wanted to cry.

My mind was all over the place when I was running,  usually I focus on a time when I looked a certain way I liked, or an outfit I want to fit into, but this morning I was giving my lecture for tonight and thinking about stuff that happened when I was a kid and everything.   Good thing is it didn't slow me down like usual.

Couch to 5K people.  I have to tell you, for all those that are hanging on I am really proud that you guys are still at it.  I know it's not easy doing this but it is totally worth it.  So many of us have fell away and could not complete it but for those who are still hanging in there with me I just want to say Thank You.   Cause you guys keep me motivated to keep going.

Have a good run.

Glad to hear the stress level are coming down. Hopefully some of those exams and/or schoolwork (I remember you mentioning studying and grad school) are leveling off.

Wow running twice a day! I am amazed I am jogging at all! You should be so proud of yourself!

I am not a part of the group that started the couch25k with you, but your posts motivated me to give it a try, so thanks for sharing your experience!

Completed week2 day 2 this morning. I must admit that getting up at 5am is fine (was previously getting up at 5:30am) but today is the first morning I found myself getting tired during the workout.

I felt like I was running out of steam during the last 7 minutes. I pushed a little harder and finished. Thinking one bite of something for fuel is going to be needed, especially as the workout intensifies.

Keep up the great work and sending those notes to encourage the rest of us to move!

If I am gonna eat   like a fat girl, then I gotta workout   like a skinny girl!

Thanks Fionna

It doesn't matter that you didn't start with the first group, all that matters is that your here now trying to make it work.

The only reason I am running twice a day is to make my goal of my "bathrrom jeans"  part 2.  LOL.

If you feel you need to eat something before your run you should.  I can't eat or drink before or I will throw up all over the place,  but I do try to sip just a few sips of water before and it always makes me queasy.

Keep up the Great work.

Lee,

You are going to kill me! I hurt my knee really bad so I didn't do anything last week. I'm feeling better but off to a slow start this week. I will get it in and have a better update for you on Friday!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.....

You gotta take care of those knees, you don't want to be like me.   I have had 3 knee sprangs since I started this,  2 in the right knee and i'm dealing with the left knee right now.

Becca is constantly asking me how my knees are and i'm like oh they are fine.  LOL.  I know if she knows she will want me to stop running so much but I have a goal to make.

Try putting ice on your knees when you can during the day and heat at night.  The ice takes the swelling down and the heat helps sooth.   That is my routine.

Take care of that knee and i'll see ya on the running side.

Thank You Meso

The program is a beginners running program called couch to 5K.   It is a podcast that you can download.   I finished it a couple of weeks ago and I have moved on the the 8K now but if you are interested in trying it out I will provide the website.   It starts out pretty slow having you run a minute at a time with walking in between.

If your interested take a look at the site and download the podcasts.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Thanks for your posts and updates, they help to keep me motivated. I am on week 8 and today is day 3. I am still counting the weeks but last night I did 52 minutes of jogging and plan to do the same tonight. I just had to push myself to see how long I could go.

It was really amazing to jog for 52 minutes when at week 1, I was breathing like a beast just after jogging 90 seconds. I have not gotten that runners high but I sure feel accompished after I finish my nightly jog.

Glad to hear that your are not as stressed and you see the light. Again, keep up the good work.

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!

You are amazing Lee!  I get motivated reading your post even though I don't run -- I walk.
