The latest is an incision-free procedure at the UCSD Medical Center to correct stomachs that have stretched in patients who had gastric bypass surgery.
It works by inserting a device down the patient's throat. Tiny clamps pull the stomach, which is tied to make it smaller.
Doctors are seeing quick results, and patients end up with no scars.
The procedure takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half.

If you read on the revision forum they haven't had too much success with these type of procedures. Somehow the clamps don't end up holding for long and people have paid thousands to have it only to lose about 20 lbs and then gain the weight back. I think it is called the ROSE Procedure (Restorative Obesity Surgery, Endolumenal). There is also the stomaphyx and sclerotherapy (sp) which are other procedures that can be done through the mouth, but are said not to have great results, but cost thousands.
