OT Question: Taking Advice

What I tend to do is not really GIVE advice--I just mostly listen until/unless the person lets me know they want my opinion--then I'll be as (gently) honest as I can.
As far as taking advice about matters of the heart, I will listen, but mostly if my feelings are involved, I know in advance that I prolly aint gon' follow it until I'm ready. Now of course if they tell me that they know something really bad about the person, or it's something they know would be a deal-breaker for me, then yes--done! I think it helps to really be careful who you share yo bizness with anyway--then you wont have to worry as much...

Well my grandmother used to tell me all the time that I didn't beleive **** stan****il I smelled it. So I was and still am hard headed. I will listen to what ppl have to say (only if I think that this is someone who has my best interest at heart), weigh my options and then do exactly what I think is best for me.
When it comes to love and relationships I learned pretty early on not to give advise and not to stick my nose in other ppl's business. As a friend, i will only give my opionion if you ask me. I try to support my friends in what ever it is they are doing (unless it involves them being physically hurt). I will be there to laugh with you, cry with you, beat a *****'s ass with you etc but AGAIN will not offer my opinion unless you ask and my friends do the same for me.

I was once a mess!! My mess is now my message!! WLS saves lives!! I'm living proof! Hey Ro. There are too many Libras chiming in on this post. LOL. I ask opinions and at the end of the day I make the best decision for ME. I have to deal with the consequences and repercussions and I'll be damned if it's based off of what someone else told me.

She decided to leave and stay with her 22 year old boyfriend. Last month she calls crying, asking me for help. Sorry, I'll pray for you but that's it. I gave you the resources to be successful (GED/job training programs) and you chose to run behind dude.
