I don't go to support meetings.  I'm a single parent who's closest relatives live over an hour away.  They don't allow children and hold meetings during the week.
I take my vits daily.  I just don't absorb them and now I am battling deficiencies. I'm 5 1/2 months out.  Deficiencies can happen even to those who are faithfully taking their vitamins. I started taking them about day 3 after my surgery.

No support group for me--I simply call on those that have helped me out in the past--more than enough support there. As far as vitamins, at one time I was dead set against them--STILL don't know why. Then....POOF!...just like that, I started taking them. Don't know why either--it wasn't like the stories I heard ever scared me or anything--I just...started. Can't really identify a change in how I feel--but if THAT'S the case, what could be the harm in simply sticking with it? y'know? Wishing you the best of luck--there's OBVIOUSLY a reason why they pu****I guess after awhile it just became reason enough!!

I've never attended a support group meeting; I've lots of ppl I speak with regarding our issues (at least 7 in the building where I work alone).  Mostly we share experiences..anything medically, I am quick to call my Dr. or my Nut.

In terms of the vitamins, my problem is that I used to have a problem with REMEMBERING to take them..until I went to my surgeon, had a blood test and found I had all sorts of chiot going on with my blood..low red blood cell count, low white blood cell count, shrinkage of those cells, not taking in enough protein (wasn't taking in enough).  The scary thing is that I didn't feel a thing. No sluggishness, nothing out of the ordinary.

So, I say this to say no matter what, take your vitamins.
