Chicago Area I have another ?

What is good area(place) to stay if you do not want to pay Magincent Mile prices?

There are quite a few hotels in Oak Brook that are much more reasonable than Downtown Chicago. I sometimes stay in Oak Brook for a weekend getaway. You may also want to check near O'Hare Airport.

The Oakbrook area is nice.  There's 2 Marriotts.  one right on 22nd street across from the mall.  The other is in a resort location.  I'vve been to both and both are nice.  There's great shopping and restaurants in the OakBrook area.

Hey HF...I was just at the Courtyard in Elmhurst (5 miles north of Oakbrook) - it was very nice and clean...and minutes away from LOTS OF SHOPPING!  Had a blast!

I will be there June 19 and June 20th

O.k. that's right; so, are you going to meet us at Wildfire in Oakbrook on the 20th? That's where the Chicago BAF folk will be. I believe I will also get a room at the Oakbrook Marriott or the Courtyard, just to hang out there that weekend.
