Hi everyone I'm 8 weeks out and I just wanted to know is there a breakfast meat that me can eat. I would like to change breakfast a little.

You can try turkey bacon or turkey sausage.

Meat is usually too heavy for me in the morning so I just have my Protein Cereal or a Protein Shake.

Same here....just too heavy. I have to force myself to eat in the morning. I wake up in the morning feeling full.

Kellog's Special K has a New Protein Cereal......10g Protein, 100 calories, 2g Sugar, 8mg Iron (45%DV).

I have that with 8 oz of soy milk which makes it 18 of protein.

I like that sound like a winner, now why soy milk and not fat free skim milk.

I switched to Soy after my surgery, my dr. suggested it because some people become lactose intollerant after surgery.  I didn't want to chance the real milk making me sick so I just switched.  It taste pretty good, I use it to make my shakes also (when I'm not using water).

Hey GF,

I have sausage but one low in fat.  I would try turkey or chicken sausage before beef or pork.  Test the waters at home just in case.  Sausage of any type is one of the few meats I have no issues with.  I also eat bacon, extra crisp and lean ham easily since I was less than a month out.

We are going to get this chat thing going.  I'll be in touch.
