I painted my den yellow (SW Quite Veranda) kind of a soft/light yellow not thinking about my light greenish/blueish sofa and not I don't think it matches.  Should I try to put brown,blue or light green curtains up and what color rug should I get?Help

Try a dark color rug perhaps a chocolate with the curtains matching the rug.

Sure you can.

Try a color between those colors on the color wheel like a green or a color across from them on the color wheel like a purple or burgany for the curtains. As for the rug try to find one with all the colors wall, sofa and curtains in it to tie it all togther. Good luck

I would go with some white curtains (or blinds)  and try to find a room rug that is neutral like a brown color (If you absolutely need one).  Use accents (pillows etc...) to bring everything together.  Here are a few pics. Just a stab in the dark here ...yellow walls and blue sofas can look good together.

I think I spend more money on all my home decor magazines than I do on decorating itself. I just love to look at all the lovely pictures. LOL! have a good one.

The pics above are fabulous... I like the idea of tan curtains and a throw rug to match with some yellow throw pillows. I love those colors together!

It depends on what type of look / feel you are trying to accomplish.  I like a warm, cozy,  feel so I would use chocolate curtains and a rug with chocolate background / and the greenish blue, soft yellow accents.

Pillows-chocolate background w/ yellow-blue accents (or variations of these colors) 
Vases, pictures, whatnots ... etc - yellow-blue background w/ chocolate accents
(or variations of these colors)
