How Was DAY 1 of Wii Active???

Wii Active 30 Day Challenge

Mornin' Folks!

I decided to open the box on Sunday just to get a feel of the program before the official start date - June 1. I only did FOUR minutes and I managed to break a sweat....not good.

So yesterday, I put on the workout gear and chose the hip hop music, which I may add didn't sound so hippity hoppity .

WOW....my thighs are still hurting. I felt a burn that was out of this world. The only problem was my son was all in my face that he wanted to go first since this was his Wii  I did complete yesterday's challenge and I will report it in my blog after the first week is completed.

Pros:

I liked the variety of the workouts- (squats, cardio kickboxing, running, rollerblading, walking, lunges, curls) on the first day. Today I will be doing tennis and whatever else that mean trainer (I'll call her Heffa ) is going to throw my way.

Cons:

My system had difficulty recognizing my curls. I have to concentrate on how I'm holding the remote and nunchuck. And oh yeah, Heffa throwing out those "You're doing great" and other little boosts was getting on my out of breath nerves.

I'm looking forward to reporting my weight loss next week for the Honeymooner's Challenge. I'm hoping this challenge will bring some pounds down.

Hi,

I plan on purchasing it today, so I will be a couple of days behind you, but I will do it.

I read that the resistance bands that they provide you with (I think it's one) should help with the bicep curls...  I'll let you know how it goes as soon as I start this evening.  Thanks for the challenge...

Yeah Kim!!!!!

The resistance bands are on the wimpy side. I tied a knot in the center to make them shorter. Once I did that, I felt MUCHO resistance on the curls. I'm thinking about investing in a new one cuz I want to feel the burn.

The resistance bands are really reasonable so I will purchase those as well....  I also have some dumbells so I will try and incorporate them into a routine...  But I will let you know how it goes..  Wish me luck...   I have a huge goal I want to achieve by my birthday which is in September...  So let's do the thing ok?

YEAH AGAIN!!!

That's a good idea about the dumbells. I'll add those to my list too. I got some leg weights that I can add on too. Giiiirrrllllll, this is so exciting!!!

Bought mine the day after it came out. Took me a week to try it but the damned thing KICKED MY HYNIE, and here I was thinking I was semi-active since I can do 20 laps swimming straight in a college length pool. But its evil....but in the best way possible. I've used it twice and both times had problems recognizing those kick thingys when your trying to kick yourself in the butt. Haven't used it is a while due to pains that have returned but as soon as they disappear I'm getting back on it cause my butt hurts from sitting around.

In a world full of cheerios be a fruit loop!

Thanks for posting -- I purchased this  a couple of weeks ago, but have not used it yet.  I'm back from vacation and getting started today!
