Hello,

I am 4 years post op, and currently 32 weeks pregnant. I do have Gestational diabetes, but that can happen to anyone. My OB considers me high risk due to my RNY, and because of that I am monitored very closely re: bloodwork, and ultrasounds. Pregnancy weight gain has not been an issue, as I am only up 8 pounds. I feel great, and baby is awesome.

Best wishes with your surgery!

Aliya....and lovin it

Hey there, I'm currently 20 weeks and a few days...so far so good.  I do suffer from anemia (but that existed before pregnancy).  Initially, I went to see a perinatologist but now I see my regular OB/GYN and my labs are monitored closely.

I would suggest you peek in over at the Pregnancy After Weight Loss Forum....great ladies over there.

Hi Icesess!  I've had two litle ones since my surgery and I had no complications. I did have to have my iron monitored pretty closely, but other than that, it was smooth sailing.  As far as weight gain goes - I gained 27 lbs with my 2 year old and 32 lbs with my 4 month old.  I breast-feed both of them and dropped ALL of my pregnancy weight in two weeks!  Good luck to you!

Be Blessed... Be a Blessing!
