Ok - I need to vent, so let's get it off ALL our chests!

OMG..now that is funny..what...and i'm going to get straight hood with my question as my child would say..but what be wrong with these men..I swear sometimes they just can't see the forest for the trees..lol..whether they are 18 like my son..or over 30..heck sometimes over 50..they  just be CRAZY..

I have a vent and its about my crazy 18 year old son..ok, why he have to be so crazy..ok so allan gave him his bucket..thats what allan called his side car..ok its a 92 escort..the doors are partially rusted and it has an oil leak..so anyway..why did my son go and get a sound system installed in this car..ok why did he use half of the money he received as graduation gifts for this steroe..ok the stereo that costs more then the car..i tell him you know the car may only last 2 weeks why put all that money into it..i'm thinking ok he will see and rethink this..no no what does he say "its my money and i just want to do something for myself"..ok keep in mind he has been working for a while..keep in mind he is supposed to be saving half of every paycheck..oh but keep in mind he wasn't..so he has been doing a bunch of something for hisself..ok so first he needed new tires...then the car stopped had to have it towed and the bill to get it fixed was $700..and guess who didn't have money to pay to get it fixed..guess who had to ask to borrow money to get his car fixed..oh he didn't ask me though he asks allan..so then he gets another card yesterday with $50 in it..so i tell him you need to give that to allan to help pay down your bill..he replies "i have plans for that money"..i'm like WTF you didn't know you were getting that money how you have plans for it.......you know what i have to stop telling this story cause i swear my pressure is rising..lol

gurl - I FEEL you - I HATE hearing someone that owes me money talk about what they are about to BUY!!!!! 

 VENT, Yes by golly I am past pissed.  I have been trying to get health insurance before my cobra ran out and have been denied.  Not because I am unhealthy or have been unhealthy in the past, its because I have a lapband. 

When I retired early I had to pay the full amount for my family health insurance BCBS Anthem Federal.  It is $883.10 per month.  I have paid the full amount it for 15 months.  BCBS of KY denied me and Assurant too.  Be very careful about changing jobs and insurance without checking to see if they will cover you. 

So far I have been healthy but that's today.  Come July 5th and anytime thereafter, I pray the crap doesn't hit fan and splatter all over my pocketbook.

Ok my vent is for my family members who don't understand the true meaning of broke college student.
I got family in Cali that I am suppose to go see in a few weeks. I brought my ticket back in April and
everything. However now..I just don't have the cash.  I am a graduate student who is barely making it.... hell i am wanting school to start back just so i can get that good old financial aid refund check.. anyway... i am preparing myself to make this call to them and tell them i am not coming and i am not looking forward to it at all.

These are the same people who i had this convo with..
Them: why don't your mom come visit us for a week or two
Me: well momma is not working she was laid off of work
Them: OH great! This is the perfect time for her to come visit while she doesn't have anything to do


WTF? who the hell think a person that is laid off should take vacations??? Where are they going to get the freakin money from???
