Im havig surgery on 7/30 and was wondering of i should perm my hair this weekend prior to surgery since i havent have a perm since october. The only reason why im perming it so that when i wa**** it will be easier to manage and wont have to use my flat iron as often. What you think?

Well.... I think you should consider the texture of your hair, the desired results, and the possibilities of hair issues you may encounter post-op. I can't give you an answer, but maybe those factors can help you weigh your options...

I did all my regular primping and grooming a week or so pre op.  I wanted nothing untidy in the hospital.

I don't perm but if I did that's wen I would have done it.  I'm at the hair loss stage now so I've hung up my flat iorn for a while.  If you're concerned about using heat appliances later, now may be the time to perm.

I had very thick hair and I chose to do a perm before surgery...after surgery i didn't have much hair loss but the texture changed a lot so that's something to consider.
