Let's talk about what we are grateful for post-op :0)

I am so grateful for my wls.  I am grateful for the valuable lessons I have learned about taking good care of myself.  I am grateful I can buckle all my cute sandals with out assistance.  I am grateful I can push my plate away when I am full or satisfied.  I am grateful I feel and look better.  I am grateful I can exercise with out stop for over thirty minutes and not feel like I am going to pass out.  I am grateful I can fit clothing over five sizes smaller then six months ago.  I am grateful I have a bad shape and can keep it with work.  I am grateful I walk with my head held high because I know where my blessings come from. 

I grateful to be able to walk into any store and buy clothes. I am grateful to be to rest my arm down by my side without still looking like I am waddling. I am grateful to have a great support system. I am grateful to be able to cross my legs for hours at a time. I am grateful to know know JUST BECAUSE MY HEAD SAYS I SHOULD EAT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I AM HUNGRY.

I am grateful that:

I'm healthier
I can walk up a flight of steps without feeling like I'm about to have a heart attack.
I can fit in a stadium seat to go see the Pistons!
To run around with my kids and stop making excuses about why they don't need to play
family/friends give me all the support i need
God allowed me this opportunity to a new life.

Im grateful for/to  : 

the ability to walk, dance and move freely without the limitations of my weight.

the ability to feel womanly, sexy and confident again ...........Beyonce who ??? 

my 2nd chance to be a better  mother, lover, auntie, daughter, sister and niece to my loved ones.  ( they deserve a person thats healthy and able -bodied  ) 


the support of all those people on the board and off who keep encouraging and motivating me to higher heights.  

God for making this all possible and giving me the strength and courage to see it thru.

I am grateful that God gave my surgeon and many other surgeons the ability and knowledge to create many procedures to allow people like us the chance to live again. I am grateful for God allowing my to be in my right frame of mind to take this opportunity and make the best of it. I am grateful that I can get many looks and still tell men I am happily married and walk away with a smile. I am grateful for a strong support system like BAF. You guys rock, because without you guys and God I would be lost.

I am grateful for my health.  I don't huff and puff when I walk from the parking lot at work to my desk.  I am grateful that I can wear heels all day long, I am grateful that i lived to see another day in a healthier body.  And I am grateful to know how far I come and I can look back and appreciate the journey I have been on.

I am greateful 
                           that god allows me to wake up each morning and see another day. that I have a great daughter and family and friends and that , I was given 2 chances at weightloss surgery and that I am really happy with this surgery and my life the way it is right now. and that I am given many opportunities to help myself and others. be blessed everyone

I got on a plane today in Philadelphia for California and I didn't have to worry about fitting in the seat or needing an extension!!!  Whoo Hoo!!! Thank you Jesus - God is good!

Been there on the airline seat extension thing, done that,  found it humiliating and uncomfortable.  I had all but stopped flying for awhile there which is problematic since I live on the east coast and most of my family lives on the west coast.  About 10 years ago, I gave up what in effect was going to be a free trip to Italy because I couldn't imagine my tall, obese self on that plane for umpteen hours...And while I enjoy long distance driving - I don't have to have dumb conversations with folks anymore that go like...."Oh yeah, I know, I only have 8 days of vacation - but I wanna spend 4 days of it driving cross country to see you even though I can fly there in 5 hours ...its the sight seeing...yeah really."  I doubt I was fooling anybody but myself.
