Sounds like Trini food to me. Are you also a daughter of T&T?

V'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
Frozen raw seafood is a must have. Shrimp (peeled, deviened) and scallops. 3 oz about 20g protein, and so easy on the pouch. Rinse and defrost just what you need. All recipe's work or if you're like me just sprinkle lemon/ lime, a half tsp of 'good' fat (if you like) and your choice of dry seasonings. Microwave on low for 3 minutes or so. Intant dinner. I also like raw frozen fish fillets. Great for poaching.
Ground chicken is another staple. Purdue ground chicken, crumble, brown, and half way through throw in a bullion cube with a cup of water and spices of your choice omitting salt. It comes out really moist and pouch friendly. It mixes nicely with ground turkey and extra lean ground beef for meatloaf or burgers too.
