2 of my favorite meals are curry chicken with channa (sp) and seafood bisque.  Both meals are full of protein and delicious.

great Hugga, maybe we can get some recipes going also in this thread.  My salmon must be marinated in Lemon Juice for the twang.  Then before I cook it, season with parsley, lil sea salt and pepper.  How to do u make seafood bisque? love seafood

Sounds like Trini food to me.  Are you also a daughter of T&T?

Don't buy it, cook it.  Try it with ground turkey if you want to stay away from red meat.

Frozen raw seafood is a must have.  Shrimp (peeled, deviened) and scallops.  3 oz about 20g protein, and so easy on the pouch.  Rinse and defrost just what you need.  All recipe's work or if you're like me just sprinkle lemon/ lime, a half tsp of 'good' fat (if you like) and your choice of dry seasonings.  Microwave on
low for 3 minutes or so.  Intant dinner.  I also like raw frozen fish fillets.  Great for poaching.

Ground chicken is another staple.  Purdue ground chicken, crumble, brown, and half way through throw in a bullion cube with a cup of water and spices of your choice omitting salt.  It comes out really moist and pouch friendly.  It mixes nicely with ground turkey and extra lean ground beef for meatloaf or burgers too.
