I have not posted it here in a year and I see why it is questions like the one that was posted . And I'm with every other person who cares if there is a White only post we dont care. And why do Whites always start out with "Iam not Racist" "I have lots of black friends" And why when the question is addressed they tell us how to address the question correctly? You asked the question so be open to how the response is brought to you. I' agree with Valueme response but my tone is a little more lightly than ValueMe!

Even if they do have lots of black friends - I'd be willing to bet that they are not their TRUE selves around them - my white friends have no CLUE who I REALLY am - I put my 'pink' face/attitude on when I am around them, THEN get comfortable once I am back 'home'.  ~smh~ it's the simplest thing that is so hard to understand.

See, I CHOOSE NOT to be Fake on a Social Level. Trust Me, it is sooo much easier to make ALLIANCES Professionally and everybody understands that, hell, you ride or die no matter what color.

You critize Me cause I am NOT PC here, but I'm also not divided inside Myself. When I look at white folks, I say..."What type of Alliance can I form, what issues/goals/cause do I need to get done and how will they be helpful." I ain't looking for them to "be My Gurl..." or have My back in an alley fight. But you sho can depend on someone who is a Political Ally!

I also know this...If the roles were reversed and I came in the "White American Forum" and someone had responded to My dumb ass question like she wrote, with MY response...I GUARANTEE, No White person would have Openly disagreed with her, they would have shown Solidarity even if they think someone is wrong! Ever notice that the white girls that do frequent BAF never "Go at each other"..it's like an unspoken rule with them.

ETA: That white girl must be bored too...she know how to stir a pot, just put a dumb question on the colored board and actually watch the Black girls go at each other...they know Black folks really RATHER put down their own than tell a white person to get the hell out of My face. Bet no men (white or black are interested in this bull shyt topic...dayyum I love them, they cut the bs.)

See - my mistake here was not qualifying 'friend' in terms of white folk in my life.  If by friend you mean someone you spend time with doing social things, go to their house, know their family - I have none.  What I meant by friend in MY statement was more what you may deem 'work associates' those that I have contact with because of my job or business need.  THOSE people don't know the REAL me - and rightly so, given my professional connection to them - that duality is another thread/discussion entirely.

And I have no problems telling white folk what I think about topics - I just don't see the need to address them as cracker, honkie, etc - when the opening question or any subsequent replies didn't go there at all.  Just common courtesy from me on that tip. 

But as usual, we can always agree to disagree

All I have to say is simply, WOW! It's obvious this is the first time I ventured into this forum, so how would I know this question gets asked all the time? Maybe you should put a FAQ thread up so "crackers" and "*****es" like me don't have to post stupid questions like this... no matter how innocent their intentions.

My question got answered clearly and loudly and I can fully understand why you want a forum all to yourselves now. I guess I was silly in thinking that racism was dying in this country. In all honesty, I was hoping to get NON RACIAL answers about why black Americans needed a separate forum, and I did get some of those answers, but the majority of the answers I got were highly offensive, highly racist, and as "black Americans" you should be ashamed to be represented that way. If there was a "White Americans" forum and anyone said the kinds of things about black people that were said about white people through this thread, the whole forum would be deleted out of existence quicker than you could blink. That's the only reason I mentioned a "double standard", because there most definitely is one. I'm not going to petition OH for a "Whites only forum" because I think it would be racist and unnecessary. We're all just people, all just Americans, all just WLS patients- or want to be.

I started this by saying that I'm not racist, and I'll end this by standing by that statement. I came here out of mere curiosity. Believe it or not, but this is the first time I noticed this forum in the 5 years I've been a member (up until lately I've not been a very active member). That's all I have to say, now you guys can have at it.

Your statements DO NOT make it so....what gives YOU the right to tell us who we are and how we should think. Why do you lump all of us together, like we are one big brain/entity. Black people are INDIVIDUALS and if YOU were interested in diversity YOU would recognize that and NOT paint us all with the same brush. One of the problems that we are still having in this Country IS THINKING that racism is dead...NO WAY. Also, why is it OK to be color blind...it is NOT...it is very important to accept ethnic needs WITHOUT ANYONE'S approval.

If you wanted NON RACIAL  answers then you should've taken your pathetic question to the CORRECT individuals to answer it!

What made you feel that way?  Here in Texas, a mere 11 years ago, a man was dragged to death by two white Supremists.  I live about 50 miles from a town KNOWN to this day to openly hate Black folk (Vidor).  When I was a teenager touring colleges as a National Acheivement Scholar, I listened to students on several majority white campuses refer to me as "******". 

That's why this forum is here - there's a variety of life experiences and viewpoints - to you - it appeared to be dying - to me - it's just ducked completely under a sheet and when I sit down on what I thought was a sofa - I've gotten my ass bitten a few times.
