Vegan
I'm not a vegan but I do often feel like a 'no meat' day and I don't do most dairy. I use egg or pea protein because soy does not always agree with me. With the pea protein it becomes a vegan day. There is also vegan rice protein but I don't like it because it separates badly.
I need protein shakes every day so there's no change when I do vegan. Along with the protein supplements, I can use beans, legumes, nuts and some vegetables like mushrooms for example to help with the protein count.

I'm a vegetarian and have started using TVP instead of the other products out there that are full sodium. I am also drinking the Isoplus protein drinks the shakes( 50g) and the many different flavors and it's 40 g of protein. Whole foods has a really good jerk tofu. Delightsoy.com has a great mock chicken pattie that you can make into a great mock chicken salad.

Do you have a Whole Foods or Earth Fare in your area? Whole Foods has a much better variety. Also the Quorn brand is a nice change (www.quorn.us) - I find mine at Kroger, Whole Foods & Earth Fair
