Having a difficult time...I need ideas/help please

I'm only 4 weeks out and in the mushy/soft phase of my diet and I'm having a difficult time figuring out which types of foods are "soft" foods to eat. Here is what I've been eating:

-boiled egg
-refried beans
-tuna (canned in water with light miracle whipp)
-sf pudding
-sf popsicles
-1% milk
-crystal light
-water
-mushy chicken salad (canned chicken with light miracle whipp)

This is pretty much it. I must confess that my mother made spagetti and meat balls and I ate a tinsy tiny piece of the meatball and it made my right side hurt, so I will not be doing that again for at least another 6-8 weeks. I've googled food ideas for this phase and got some great ideas, but I wanted to know what types of things you guys ate. Please help me out...

This phase is kinda tough because you will repeat many of the same foods... it's ok, because you'll want to really focus on your water, protein, and some sort of activity (walking or something... I'm not sure when you'll be clear by your doctor to full-fledge exercise.) I'll check around and see if I can get you some more ideas. In the meantime, hold on... it gets much better....

Yogurt (with protein powder added)

Egg salad

Salmon salad/ tuna salad/chicken salad

Cooked chicken breast.  Blended with chicken broth.  2% cheese melted on top.

Cottage cheese with SF cherry jello powder, a dash of lime juice and splenda (healthy version of cheesecake)

Low-carb smoothies with protein powder added

Split Pea Soup

FF Chocolate milk with chocolate protein powder and SF chocolate syrup (if you can handle milk)

Unsweetened applesauce with splenda

Water with lemons and splenda (lemonade)

Oatmeal with unflavored protein powder

I will try to think of more.  It has been a long time for me.

Chicken vienna  sausage (I don't eat pork, but you can buy the other ones)

Canned ham/ potted meat ()

String cheese

Blended (to the consistency of baby food)  black- eyed peas, lima beans, etc. with unflavored protein powder

Runny mashed potatoes/grits  --  only during the soft foods stage.

Pot liquor (you may not know about that)

Some people bought baby food and ate it.  Not me.

You can also add hot & cold cereals.  I did instant grits & oatmeal & cheerios, but let them sit until they were soggy.  scrambled egg was easy to handle as well, just use pam. I also would grind up a piece of rortissire chicken with a little broth & mashed potatos

I did not read the responses so some/all may be a repetition of what someone else posted:

Chrystal Light popsicles (Wal-Mart and Kroger)....I like Lemonde and Punch

Soft Scramble egg (dont scramble it hard) you can add cheese

melted cheese....(cut slices of block cheese and microwave slightly to soften cheese)

Soup (tomato....veggie....(bad Dedee) potato soup)

Meatless Chilli....(add beans for fiber and protein)

spinach (may top with boiled egg)

cottage cheese

yogurt (I use te Carb Control)

crushed ice LOL (if your pouch can handle the cold)

scrambled salmon (soft)....you can scramble salmon like an egg ...it is so damn good

(I'm so country.....smashed sardines)...just smash them with your fork....damn I love sardines

potted meat (gag...I dont like it)

oatmeal (reg flavor with skim milk and splenda)

Fresh fruit diced and peeled: grapes, plums, etc...no oranges, apples (hard fruit)

Fresh veggies: steamed squash, zuchinni, cucumbers....anything that cooks soft

never rule out Baby food
