We need permission to allow our children to watch the President of the United States but they don't need my permission to take my teenager daughter to have an abortion without my permission. We the people of the United States have ISSUES!

I think it's sad to hear news shows saying his approval rating is dropping. We elect someone and then barely give him a chance to work on things before the nastiness starts. I think it's a good thing to have a president who is interested in the children of our nation.

I am SO disgusted by these people and their downright disrespect for the President of the United States. Simply put, in other countries they be shot or hung for showing that kind of blatent insolence. It's all racism (and I don't like to pull the race card either). But if his face was white, this wouldn't be a topic of discussion.

I agree with you 100% I said the very same thing to a co-worker a young Black Man how sad a time in which we live.  There some schools here in VA that will NOT be broadcasting the video AT ALL.  Luckily this is not a school to which my son Attends because if it were They would be calling me ALVINA SHARPTON what strikes me as odd is that the Parents of Black children in the school districts who've decided not to show it haven't said a word.  So apparently we don't mind bringing wood to the fire if you get what I mean.  HOW dare some ignorant Clearcasions make a decision that affects my chile, Just like they are stating they don't want President Obama influencing their children.  I say if you are instilling your beliefs and morals in your children then surely their watching one little video should not have any Affect. So we know the answer it has nothing to do with him influencing someone's child other than to open their eyes to the fact that YES success and intelligence come is all races. Imagine the horror of some Clearcasions that their child might come to that realization.   I'm so thru about this whole thing!

Some of the schools here in TN will not even show it at all. My children's school would not even show the Inauguration last year unless it tied into the curriculum. For this speech there will be a permission slip. This makes me sooooo mad !!!!

We don't live too far from where KKK started, Pulaski, TN. I even had a lady in my office last week go off on me and said she couldn't stand President Obama because he is really white !!!!! I asked her to explain herself and she said since he had a white mother, he was white and he's NOT the 1st black president. I explained to her the 1 drop rule and how I fall under that rule, so does my mom, her dad and her mother. I told her that my mom is as white as she is but went to an all black school because that is the law and before making statements, maybe she should walk in someone else's shoes.

Well she got on bing. com and it told her that if a child is mixed that the child must claim the mother's race so she said that  President Obama is white !!!!!  I don't think so. I said well tell that to my mom who grew up in the south when it was "colored only" water fountains, restrooms, schools etc. and then I told her that I'm black and so is President Obama. Wooosaaah
