If 50% of parents would have put the forth the effort as you have in your letter, I would BET all the outrage would have many districts rethink their decision.

Get this one district here who would allow children to leave school to watch the speech if their parent requested it, is going to ALLOW 500 fifth and sixth grade students to be bused to the new Cowboys stadium to listen to ex President Bush speak on education.

The  double standard is so sickening...makes me want to .  I am glad I spoke up...because it seems that others are going to rally  around me...this will make a difference vs being there all alone.  Thanks for the support Rhonda.

Great letter.  They let the students at my daughters middle school watch the program if the teachers did not have anything planned for their classes.  I was a little disturbed about that because the teacher could have said anything, but at back to school night last night, I found out that the principle is setting up an assembly scheduled for next week, for all of the students to gather and watch the recording of the speech. 

I was very pleased to hear that.  The speech was great.

I know longer have kids in school but my money is still in the School System and I was to upset with them and not letting the kids have there choses.  .  GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR UPCOMING MEETING AND I WILL BE CHECKING TO SEE HOW THINGS HAVE TURNED OUT.
