Thanks everyone for your support. I will keep you posted as to the outcome. I am getting my points in order now. Yes...this very same school district let President Bush visit the schools talk about Education to a select few students and faculty....while the other students watched his live speech on closed circuit TV!!! What a croak of cow manure! I am trying to keep it nice and mellow today but I am still  at them for cheating all those young impressionable minds of a great inspirational speech. I showed it to my kids at home....but IT WAS NOT THE SAME!!!

I remember listening to one of President Carter's speeches when we were in school.  It was something to be said about seeing the entire school reorganize to make it happen...just made it seem like something so important!!! Not the same feel...when you are asking your child to pull up a chair at the computer....where are the peers to make a big deal out of it and say...WOW!!! NEAT!!! AWESOME!!!

I think it's utterly ridiculous how these school districts refused to air the speech; it was in the best interest of the children, especially the high school students who would have benefited the most from the speech. ~smh~

ETA: I don't live in your area but I support you 100%

I will be attending this event. I have two sons who go to CD high school. And one 2 more who graduated from there and they have always made them watch the President's speech. Why not now? Oh, we know just becuase our President is black, Don't worry I will be there to back you up and we will also get to meet each other at this event!
