OT: Background checks

Lemme ask this - how far is too far to research and how soon is too soon to research a mofo?

There's some shady mady characters running around these days - lies abound!  But in this high speed technology age, you can find out the basics on anyone in under 30 min!!!

I have researched mofos a couple times AFTER inconsistenies made me question them, but now I am thinking I should run the check BEFORE even messing with them!!!

so - question - if someone you were seeing seemed shady, would you run a check? 

guys - would it bother you to be checked out?  what if your lady asked you about something they found on you - would you be pissed?

Hmm...seems like you have found that dream guy Mack.., I ran a background check on my Fiance and he ran one on me tooLMAO...I would think the only time you NEED to do that is if you are really serious about each other and your relationship is moving to the next level...congrats on moving to the background check level

I disagree if you wait until you are serious then its too late.  I want to know if you are married, a rapist or child molestor right off the bat so that I don't waste any time.  JMHO.

When I was internet dating, I ran a background check on a guy.

LOL and ROFL  I don't know if you remember last year the wonderful man I met who ended up being married (I learned that from a suggestion of yours that I run his background), any who since then the following is my order of checking into background:

1)  Just met - if interested next day run county background to see if mofo is married
2) Check sex offender database to see if has record of sex abuser or child molestation
3)2-3 months later - If I am still interested run a deeper check to see really owns home, if delinquent in taxes, etc.

Don't know how to do a criminal without permission you will have to fill me in on that

if you just run the name and DOB, all relevant cases come up - or you can specialize in just divorce or whatever. 

My check em out schedule is just like yours but I run 1 & 2 if I am remotely interested in you and know there will be a 2nd or 3rd date :)  but I always add criminal background check to your list! 

There are a lot of wolves in sheep clothing out here and I have a wolf magnet on my right knee  so I check em out good. 

These days the satellite will let you see the car in the driveway..deep just don't use that ish on me :)

Depends on how and where you met them.  I believe in running a check if something seems shady.  Unfortunately there are folks out there who like to lie to you until you are hooked and then think you won't walk.  My crazy behind would walk.  Certain lies are not forgiveable in my book.  Marital status, number of kids, criminal background,... If they lie about anything of those things you will always be wondering what else they are lying about. 
I'm always amazed how many men lie about the number of kids they have. 

The depth of the background check varies too.  Internet search or calling your friend who knows everybody's business in town.  The friend is always good for a social history background check. 

I run a background check on everybody... (remember I work for a law-firm) although not criminal it give you an idea of different people you deal with.

Also realize not ALL criminals have a background.
