Yep...I say the same thing all the time to my coworkers. I have a second job and I work overnights sometimes. They have jokingly made comments about coming up to the job during the 11-7 shift to see if I am taking a snooze or not. All say to them is that they better bring the popcorn because the second inning is going to be ON...when I use my BAT to make a homerun with their dayum HEAD as the BALL!!! I wish a mofo would try to sneak up on me....BAT first and ask questions later is my moto!

Yep, BADDDD move by that prisoner. That officer SHOULD be justified because what he saw at that moment was a "threat". He saw a prisoner advancing towards him in an accelarated manner. In his mind, he's thinking the only reason why a prisoner would be doing that is to cause me harm. His instinct, based on his training, was to impede/discontinue the threat.
Truthfully, the prisoner got very lucky by taking a bit in the leg. Federal academies train to shoot until the threat has stopped, which typically means 2-3 shots center mass (chest) or head.
