Another Christian Question...COME ON!!

Good TGIF To BAF,

I want address something that is somewhat bothering me. I want to address the fact that so many of you have had bad encounters with; Christian Folk, Church, and all aspects of Christianity. I can detect alot of frustration when you guys are talking about anything Christian related. I know how this is, when I was out there doing my thing everybody got on my nerves the moment they mentioned; a scripture, a church name, or tried to compare me to a biblical story. I often was call the prodigal son (my father is a third generation pastor). Man I would get so angry that I almost started to go against God. As I look back I reanalyze the people who always had so much to say, they usually were fake, didnt know a thing about being a Christian, and didnt even attend my church. Yes Christian-Wanna-bes exist. I think about it and say to myself "why did you allow them to have the glory in making you upset" because they were not helping me at that time. 

I would like to thank MackMoma for keep me in check I generalized a couple of people the other day in their post and she made sure she checked me. I also read in one of her post where she said she knows she is not perfect. HATS OFF. The bible says you are either hot or cold, for if you are lukewarm(FAKE) he will spit you out. So for all the fake people who want to throw Jesus in your face, tell them that your walking your walk and that its a relationship between you, God, and his son (Jesus). Anyone else is non-relevant to your faithwalk. When you can admit that you are not perfect, it is an huge accomplishment.

I mainly wrote this post because I wanted to apologize to all of those who have been hurt by someone from a church or who called themselves a Chrsitian. Dont let their words bother you because at the end of the day they may Judge you but GOD is judging them. Ye that be without sin cast ye the first stone, we were born into sin, so no one should be judging anyone else.

Well Said Brother...... I want to say I admire a brother your age with your insight. That is rare today and very precious.In America we have church culture.And then we have a sub culture that is the  so called "black church". It has nothing to do with true Christianity. It provides material for people like Tyler Perry to mock what some think is church. Part of the problem is people not bothering to investigate for themselves. There is an important question that needs to be asked.Why are there so many counterfeits? I have never seen anyone try pass off a fake anything if the original did not possess value.HMMMMMM So yes..there are fake Christians, pastors, churches, prophets etc. But guess what. we were warned in the word. It is a sign of Jesus' return.As a matter of fact  Jesus even said be careful..there would be fake jesus's (notice little j)
Matthew 24:4-7
Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. ⁵For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, and will deceive many. ⁶You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. ⁷Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

he went on to say in verses 9-14

Then you (true believers) will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. ¹⁰At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, ¹¹and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. ¹²Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, ¹³but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. ¹⁴And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come

We have been clearly and plainly warned. the clock started ticking in 1948 when Isreal became a nation again.(also prophesied many times in the Bible).
We get so heated about what is fake and phony and then we miss the real issue. What are you going to do with Jesus? Is he a prophet? A liar? A magician?God's Son? 2nd person of the Trinity? a myth? a madman? just some real good person?
I will never judge a person's walk (relationship) with God. If you watch me 24/7 I know you gonna see some real bad moments...and if you could read my mind....oh boy.....but i do know there are some fundamentals that everyone that names the great name and claims Him as theirs must lay hold to. And yes, there should be a change in your life. Everyone that encountered Jesus changed. Some for the better and some for the worse. And Micah, you are right....Romans 14:13  (amplified version)says:
¹³Then let us no more criticize and blame and pass judgment on one another, but rather decide and endeavor never to put a stumbling block or an obstacle or a hindrance in the way of a brother/sister.

On the issue of judgement the LORD Jesus said:

Revelation 22:11-13
¹¹He who is unrighteous (unjust, wicked), let him be unrighteous still; and he who is filthy (vile, impure), let him be filthy still; and he who is righteous (just, upright, in right standing with God), let him do right still; and he who is holy, let him be holy still.

Behold, I am coming soon, and I shall bring My wages and rewards with Me, to repay and render to each one just what his own actions and his own work merit. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last (the Before all and the End of all).

One is no less dead when killed by friendly fire. As Christians we have been called to pierce the darkness and it should be evident in our daily walk. We are human and sometimes our light gets a little dim and needs some cleaning. I don't mind you helping me get my mud off if you are helping me for the right reasons. Don't help me clean up and become a teller, you know tell a phone. tell a gram, that you had to help clean off my mud. We all fall short and we are a work in progress. Psalms 139 (Mama Peaches version) says he made all of my parts and put me together in my mothers womb and watched me being formed when I was in total seclusion.When no one knew their was a baby in there, he made me and he made erasers knowing that I would make a mistake. He loves me enough when I admit I blew it his son Jesus says dad she said she was sorry please forgive her. And he not only forgives me but forgets my mistake. As a minister my job is to share God's word and the Holy Spirit will either convict or evict. It is not my job to judge anyone, after all the same way you judge is how you will be judged.

Real talk M...as much as folks would find this hard to believe....I have not been hurt by the church or any man...now Pissed off yes for a moment YES...lol
